Terrible experience. The firm over billed and under delivered. Attempted to resolve the repeated issues with them multiple times but they could careless. They are more focused on over billing than they are on their "clients." In all fairness, I only worked with a few of their attorneys before I cut ties. My experience does not speak for the entire firm.

I was made the of trustee for a family member almost five years ago. I was fortunate to be referred to Scott as I had no experience in this area. Scott has been there for us from the beginning to the end as we now finalize the estate. Unfortunately we have also faced family squabbling and other legal challenges as large trusts often attract predators. Scott has gone above and beyond to advise us and protect the assets of the trusts during this stressful time. We deeply appreciate his help and continue to rely on him as an ethical compassionate professional.

I hired Cranfill Sumner and Hartzog to represent me on behalf my late husbands estate. Unfortunately I needed legal representation because i was not the executor of the estate and as a beneficiary and widow i was not being given what was rightfully mine and in the timely manner of a normal estate procedure. I was challenged on every level by the executor and his council. It is nearly 2yrs later since the death of my husband and we are still awaiting a close to this nightmare. This is a simple estate and could have been completed a long time ago. Working with Brian Kromke and Laurie Ferreira has been a tremendous help through this entire process. They are always kind compassionate and try to get things done in a timely manner. It is sad to have to have legal representation just to make sure you receive what was given to you by your deceased spouse. I urge anyone in a similar situation to seek legal representation if you are a beneficiary and not the executor/ trustee of your spouses final arrangements. Never in a million years would I think a family memeber would turn on me. Cranfill Sumner and Hartzog, in Wilmington NC has been a huge support system to me and my children during this difficult time. I’m thankful for their strong willed take no bull approach expertise and gracious favor.
