Jackson Law is arguably one of the only firms in Raleigh that delivers a consistently professional and detailed level of service. My clients and I have used Jackson Law for years, and I am seldom met with an issues that can't be addressed by one of their skilled attorneys. Highly recommend for real estate closings and estate planning!

I have personally closed on 2 homes with Jackson Law and encouraged many of my clients to use Jeremiah and his team. They are efficient, knowledgeable, and very friendly.

I recently sold a property in Morrisville and my buyers selected this firm. It was a nightmare to the last minute. I’m a defense contractor and I work with the military overseas, and I could not travel at the time of the closing, which we disclosed days ahead of the closing date so this firm can prepare the documents for us as well. I filled out all they information in their forms which included my Bank’s address, account number, and ABA number for doing a wire transfer of the money from the sale of the house. At the last minute, they refused to do a domestic wire transfer to my bank (USAA) in Texas because I live in Germany even though my bank was in the U.S. they supposedly had a house rule that I their clients have to be physically present at their office and sign the closing documents in front of them, or they will not do a wire transfer. They did not trust notarized signatures although these were done at a military legal office. This brought up a huge amount of unnecessary stress and complications which was uncalled for and completely unprofessional because they knew from the beginning, I was unable to attend the closing. I was completely broadsided at the last minute. I attempted to contact the closing lawyer directly who happened to be the firm’s owner to explain my situation and ask why this an issue since can easily prove my identity by whatever means necessary including a teleconference, picture with ID, passport, driver license or whatever means he felt most comfortable. The owner completely refused to work with me and was totally inflexible to my situation, citing that he was not going to risk the financial security of his family for a wire transfer! I was incensed because they never disclosed their “house rule” to us until everything was signed. I told them I would rather cancel the closing than risk the nightmare of losing a multi-thousand dollar check on the USPS and Army APO system where we lost two packages this year already. I also told him to stop the closing until this matter was resolved, and they went ahead with the closing anyway. I thought by explaining my risk and circumstances any reasonable firm who handles real estate transactions, would be familiar with domestic wire transfers, but my risk was very acceptable to the owner who continued to insist this is a measure against wire transfer fraud, and offered the option to overnight the check to one of my brother in New York, unbelievable! Declining to do a video conference with me, insisting that I have to be there physically there to prove I exist knowing in advance I was overseas is unbelievable. This is uphauling behavior, this firm did not disclose they did not intend to wire my funds, did not care I was overseas working for the Army, and was more concerned about the supposed risk of wire transfer fraud than losing my check. Eight days into this ordeal an I get an e-mail from their paralegal informing me the bank returned the check asking me to call my bank and ask them to work with them to accept an unendorsed check by mail. Eight days later, I still did not have my money. My bank returned the check to the law firm with an explanation of why they rejected it. To my amazement, their paralegal sent me an email containing a PDF attachment containing a copy of the bank check, both front and back completely in a clear text (no encryption or protection at all) to my g-mail account. If their e-mail server had anyone logged in, or their computer was compromised, someone could walk away with tens of thousands of dollars from this check alone. Eight days into this ordeal, all to satisfy one person, the owner, by his blatant inflexibility succeeded in pissing off every single party in that closing. He recognized USAA’s address and knew this is bank for veterans and active duty and family only… One star is far too generous when you very well deserve zero. Thanks for supporting the troops.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Jackson Law as our closing attorney when buying our first house. Jeremiah was such a nice man and we immediately felt at ease while closing on our first house. He thoroughly explained all the documents we were signing and was genuinely excited for us! We left feeling so cared for and we highly recommend using Jackson Law as a closing attorney!
