As someone who unfortunately has had to deal with 4-5 lawyers in the few years this was by far my absolute worst experience with any attorney/firm. Can’t recommend enough to get a different consult and get better advice, would never work with them again. The strategy here seems to be to take clients to court and to drag things out as long as possible to wrack up billable hours. From this from I paid over $10k for a divorce case that almost went to trial, until the firm was late on giving me needed disclosures to complete - when I changed attorneys almost instantly got the case out of court and saved a ton of money and got what I wanted. Attorneys here couldn’t seem to care less, they are arrogant and will give you bad informaron to keep your case going to trial. Total waste and huge regret wasting any time and money here.

I wish opposing counsel, Raleigh divorce law firm, had read When Dad Hurts Mom and Why Does He Do That by Lundy Bancroft. This valuable insight into the mind of an abusive man/ the perpetrator in my divorce may have prevented them from being tools perpetuating the abusive. I had my husband thrown out of the house six years ago when he finally struck me after years of emotional, financial and verbal abuse. Another silly judge in family court let him back in the house so he and I attempted to rebuild our marriage. Six years later, after I received some counseling, I realized I didn’t have to live that way any longer. With the help of Raleigh divorce law firm, my husband was able to not only use the courts to make my life hellish, but also to take my kids away from me. Raleigh divorce law firm played beautifully into his nefarious schemes! Of course, they made promises they could not deliver, so I laughed ironically at their foolhardy ways. The women there are no friend to a sister who suffered abuse and should be ashamed for supporting the perp!

In what were for me, extremely delicate circumstances, this firm helped me continue seeking what is right for me and for my children. If there were ten stars available, it wouldn't be enough. In my experience with this team and other firms, Raleigh Divorce Law Firm is one in a million. Not only do they represent one's interests with vigor, detail and nuance but they do so while maintaining a delicate thoughtful touch that Lawyers, in general, aren't necessarily known for. Heather and her experienced team were the abosolute best people to have in my corner during my extremely difficult and complicated divorce. Throughout this process I needed for things to be explained in detail and there were several times where I just needed to be calmed down. Heather and her team stepped up and talked me off of the ledge each and every time with nothing but care and kindness. In August of 2019 I contacted Raleigh Divorce Law Firm for consulting on my custody situation. My son has been born and was being withheld from me. After meeting with several law firms I decided that Blake at Raleigh Divorce Law would be who represented me. The main difference was during the consulting Blake actually showed passion about my case without knowing many details. This custody battle has gone on for two years. Blake warned me that this would be a long process so I was prepared for it. Within 6 months he was able to get me joint custody. Being a father in the family court system can be intimidating at time just because of the reputation that family court has of being stacked against them. Blake helped me navigate through all of this. Blake was always honest with me on things whether it was good or bad. He didn’t always tell me what I wanted to hear but he did always tell me what I needed to hear. Now two years later he got me primary custody of my son. He has helped my son and I so much through his hard work. He was always very passionate about my case regardless of where we were. For a parent it is extremely comforting seeing an attorney that is passionate and works hard for your case. Everybody at the firm was extremely helpful and friendly. I will never be able to thank them enough for the things they have done for me. I would highly recommend this firm to anybody going through a custody battle.
