Erik Groves and his (then assistant, now) partner, Anthony Wayne, served my family with estate planning when my husband had terminal cancer two years ago, in a situation complicated by another disability in the family. They compiled compatible wills (my husband's creating a special needs trust), powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and living wills for both of us. They were willing to meet with us on Thanksgiving Saturday for us to sign the documents in the presence of witnesses when that was the only time that worked to include a family member coming from out of state. In all matters they were patient, kind, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. We feel we got great value for the money we paid them. I recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation!

Erik helped my wife and I a couple of years ago with our wills and trusts, POAs, healthcare proxies, etc. We felt great knowing those important documents were in place and done correctly. Most recently, he reviewed a joint venture agreement for me where I was going to buy a substantial investment property with a partner. I had all the numbers worked out to make sure it would cash flow correctly. However, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything else with my agreement. After learning some further details, he shared some concerns that I couldn’t take lightly and gave me a reference of another professional I should speak to for some added perspective. His caution wasn’t what I wanted or was planning to hear, but I needed to hear it. I heeded the caution and ended up backing out of the deal to pursue other opportunities that I can feel better about. That deal may have worked out well, but I feel much more at ease now. At the end of the day, I feel good about knowing I can call Erik for perspective and counsel when I need it. Had he only given me advice on the document I asked him to review, I would have missed out on some very valuable things to consider. But instead, he dug a little deeper to understand the whole story, which I am very thankful for!

My husband and I called a few law offices in our area. Erik Grove called us personally and worked us into his schedule immediately. He is personable, kind and understanding. We met with him at 4pm on a Wednesday afternoon and he had us back at 10am the next day to finalize our paperwork. We had a tight turn around and he made it happen! We had the best experience with him. He reviews everything in detail and makes sure that you understand the legal jargon. I HIGHLY recommend him! He is absolutely wonderful!
