Lawrence Shotwell was highly recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. From the first call, I knew I had chosen the right attorney. The case was "destruction to personal property" so this wasn't a simple traffic violation. Lawrence explained the process and possible scenarios thoroughly during the first visit. His demeanor and candor made me feel very comfortable- (like an old friend was going to take care of things for me). I just left the courthouse today and the case was dismissed! This was my first encounter with the law. Fortunately for me, I hired Mr. Shotwell for legal assistance. A retired judge from New Hanover County recommended Mr. Shotwell. I think that says a lot already... Hands down one of the best investments I've made. I was charged with a serious offense that could've potentially derailed my future at a young age. However, Mr. Shotwell and I went to trial and he utilized "Shotwell motion" strategy to our advantage. All evidence against me was suppressed which led to all charges being dropped.
