I live in VA and needed to hire an attorney in Wilmington NC for custody disagreements. After looking up several and reading reviews I decided on Cape Fear Family Law. Matthew Geiger ended up representing me. Matthew and his staff were very courteous, responsive and even called me first to keep me updated with what was going on with court dates, etc. due to Covid 19. I would recommend them and will use them again if I need representation again. Just wish I had known about them sooner and could of used them during my divorce.

They were efficient and cost effective and gave honest advice.

Matt Geiger from Cape Fear Family Law represented the custody of our grandson. Matt's professionalism and representation of our grandson's best interest was truly evident. Overall a good experience. The office staff was fantastic. I was given all the information and help that was “under contract”. My only complaint is I would have to contact the lawyer, or the office 2 to 3 times To get a call back from him. And after they fulfilled the contract I had more questions. Matt gave me a call back and said he would be glad to help with any questions I had going forth even though they were not representing me, and he said he would send me an email with more information for me. I never got the email. The next week I had more questions due to changes in my case from the courthouse adapting to Covid 19 regulations. I reached out to Matt with more questions regarding the changes, as well as offered to pay the office for his services as far as answering my extra questions, but he never responded. So overall it was a good experience, however once they have “fulfilled” the original contract there is slim to no chance of getting help again with questions regarding the case even when offering to pay.
