It's truly hard to find good people in the world, but if you were looking, you might want to search here. They are extremely motivated to help you and are extremely reassuring and comforting. The value of having these guys in your corner is incredible, you'd be pretty foolish not to do it.

I've been to Student Legal Services enough times this semester that the office staff already know me by name thanks to the landlord I'm currently renting from. I met with Paul Wilkins and Molly Philipps, they were always patient when I asked questions and took the time to carefully think about my questions before jumping to answers. One time they had to use their laptop to find an answer, but I greatly appreciate that they made sure I was given accurate advice. If you have any problems with a landlord or questions about a lease before/after signing it, don't hesitate to come to Student Legal Services!

This is a law clinic that exclusively works with OSU students on small criminal and common civil matters. Students pay the optional fee for these services by default with their tuition and fees. I've met with these lawyers to talk about matters ranging from leases and landlord/tenant disputes to a threatened lawsuit. In my experience, their lawyers are very capable, professional, and patient. The lawyers I've met with took the time to listen to the details of my case, explain the laws or legal processes to me, present multiple options, and suggest other useful non-legal resources. I highly recommend them.
