Tony's firm came recommended as I searched for a lawyer, and within the firm, Tony was recommended as the lawyer who should handle my divorce due to the financial component. His knowledge in financial matters far surpassed anything I could perceive I might need. Not having any legal experience or experience at all with divorces, I was totally unprepared for the depth and breadth of financial ramifications that existed. Tony navigated those waters for me, not only with great knowledge, but with the quiet dignity in which I wanted to conduct the divorce. He worked to make the divorce happen, quietly and quickly. He managed to protect my interest and state his points without descending into a nasty turmoil that so many divorces seem to plummet. Tony's years of experience and vast network of consultants and colleagues certainly became a great asset to our advantage as the proceedings got underway. He was extremely prepared, composed, and articulate during the proceedings, which certainly diminished my anxiety. Be prepared: divorce is a process with rules and procedures and it is difficult and expensive. But you won't have to go through it alone if you have a good lawyer; trust them to listen to you and act to protect you.

My divorce was not hard but it had some strange challenges. Tony was very helpful in advising me from doing anything that would make my case more difficult. Tony is the perfect advocate--with an intuitive ability of when to play hardball and when to collaborate. He kept a clear vision of the "big picture" outcome of a case, even when my emotions diverted attention from the final goal. His easy manner made me feel at ease while sharing often painful private details. His ability to laugh and lighten the mood kept me optimistic and engaged in the difficult process.

Mr. Auten handled a difficult domestic situation where a spouse abruptly moved with their young children to another location and attempted to restrict/withhold visitation from the other parent. Mr. Auten made the appropriate decisions to utimately enable the children to return to their initial place of residence and create the proper negotiating positions to enable a fair and positive settlement both in parenting and financially. The opposing attorneys (3 in total) all made reference to the point of Mr. Auten's reputation and expertise which in itself was leverage for the opposition to settle. Had I had to do everything over, I would not have changed a thing. I was very happy with his representation.
