Luftman, Heck and associates team works wonders, Zach Olah was my attorney and was very professional on top of being a nice man overall, kept me informed kept everything and laid it out exactly as it was and made sure I was on the same page with everything every time. Turned it from being a tedious papers and legalities thing to a simple and to the point process that is easy. 100% recommend this team for any legal work. Now I’m able to get a job, I’m no longer facing a felony on my record and when I’m able, Zach Olah said get ahold of him he is willing to help me get the remaining misdemeanors expunged so I can have a clean record. It felt like Mr.Olah and his team genuinely care and weren’t just going to get this over with and be on their way but truly want to help the people understand the process and get the defense that is not half assed or anything like that. I would give zero stars if I could. We retained benjamin. He knew the charges and knew what county we were in and he took our case sounding confident he could help us. Long story short he didn’t do a damn thing for us. It was my boyfriend’s first time in trouble and he had 250,000 dollar bond for a non violent crime and my boyfriend turned himself in when he found out there was a warrant out for him so he wasn’t a flight risk. He sat in jail for almost 5 months and Ben seen him a total of 3 times. When we got his discovery Ben told me he was missing some of it and if he actually studied the discovery he would have seen that there was a link and a password attached to it and he was in fact not missing anything and I myself had to text him the link and password so he could see the rest of the discovery and I never heard a word from him. The entire time I never heard any updates on the case, my boyfriend was constantly calling asking what’s going on and he sat in jail for 5 months not knowing anything until the day he got sentenced. Ben never answered my calls or texts, I’d have to repeatedly send texts and calls before he would text back with a very short and very pointless texts. I tried to be respectful bc they had my boyfriends life in their hands but I should have went with my gut and fired him. The day of my boyfriends sentencing I had to walk up to a couple attorneys and ask if one of them was there for my boyfriend bc Ben sent someone else and this guy didn’t know anything about my boyfriend at all and was asking me basic questions they should have already known. Our retainer fee was 10,000 dollars and my boyfriend still got sentenced 6 years. They didn’t fight for him at all, there was no effort put into this case what’s so ever and communication and answers were not a thing. Ben actually took 3 or 4 vacations in this time and was handing our case off to other people. After he was sentenced I was able to get a hold of the attorney that showed up in court for him and he sounded sympathetic to the time that was given to my boyfriend almost like he was in shock but Ben never reached out. There are so many other details I didn’t put into this but the fact that my boyfriend sat in jail for 5 months not knowing anything until the day he got sentenced was torture in itself and they didn’t give two shits. Don’t hire them if you have a serious case that requires them to put in real work bc they won’t. They were scared to death of muskingum county and the judge here and their favorite thing to tell us is “ this is Muskingum county they do things differently here and they are a lot more difficult to deal with “ if your a good lawyer it shouldn’t matter what county your fighting in. My boyfriend got 6 years on his first offense with a non violent crime. Muskingum county sheriff’s department set the whole thing up and there was evidence and the lawyers looked passed it and let the judge and prosecutor have their way in court with zero fight at all. No plea deal and no trial. It still makes me furious to think about the fact I didn’t fire Ben and find someone else. If anyone wants to reach out to me I have tons of screenshots and proof of the negligence on my boyfriends case. Hope this helps someone in making their decision.
