I had a small claims case in two hours when the defendant figuratively threw a wrench in things. So I searched the internet and randomly called Slater & Zurz asking for a consultation. I was put through to the pleasant and informative Randy who gave me his time for free. I called to get legal advice on a dog bite situation. They put me in contact with a lawyer who was very friendly. He spent 30+ minutes on the phone with me explaining my rights and liabilities in a way that I can easily understand. I was able to ask questions and he was very thorough in answering. I felt at ease knowing I was speaking directly with a lawyer. He was very knowledgeable about the law. He even gave me advice on how to proceed in my scenario and how to approach the situation. Unfortunately, our family found ourselves in a position, in which, we had to take legal action against a nursing home regarding their neglectful care and utter disregard for our mother's life. Our youngest son was attacked by a neighbor's dog when he was 5 years old. The neighbor's insurance company wanted to give us a minute lump sum of money and call the case closed. We felt that our son deserved much more for what he had gone through and had to now deal with noticeable scarring on his head.
