I had the misfortune of needing Mr. Dominy's counsel to help me in my OVI case. I was charged with a OVI per se, OVI impaired, speeding, marked lanes violation, and reckless driving, with a high urine alcohol levels, more than double the legal limit. I did not know what to expect, as I've never faced any kind of issues with the law. From the first contact Mr. Dominy has been nothing short of professional and thorough, from gathering the facts, the evidence, and putting the case together. He did an amazing job explaining to me, every step of the way and gave me timely advice to be ahead of the curve. He sent me a copy of the book he wrote on OVI (Ohio DUI/OVI Guide) to get familiar with the articles, the penalties and to start defining what would be my best and worse case scenarios. He was straight forward, which I appreciated and laid the situation down for me to understand where I was headed. After receiving and reviewing the evidence packages, he then recommended the DIP program and the Alcohol assessments, prior to the pre-trial hearing and that helped in two folds: One, helping me understand the situation and see from the other prospective, if I had damaged property, or worse hurt someone or myself, and two, help show that I was committed to not repeat these mistakes. Mr. Dominy's expertise in the area, helped to get the best outcome, by far. I was facing a minimum of 6 days in jail, 1 to 3 years license suspension with a minimum of 30 days waiting period for privileges, $375 to $1075 fine. My OVI Impaired got amended to physical control and all the other charges were dropped, then 1 year suspension with work and children activities driving privileges. This outcome means, no points on my driving license, no increased insurance premiums and no damaging OVI convictions that could lead to loss of employment/income. This was better than the best case scenario I was hoping for. I could not have come anywhere close to such an outcome, if it was not for Mr. Dominy and I cannot recommend him enough to anyone going through such a challenge. I do not wish on needing his services ever again, but should happen, I have his number on speed dial. lol Thanks Mr. Dominy!

Shawn represented me, in what is a very difficult county to navigate, Delaware County. He knew the people and was able to successfully negotiate terms that I could live with. He knew the process well, explained it to me and guided me through the quagmire to the end. Highly recommend Mr. Dominy.

Worth every penny! He helped us through a very challenging time and was 100% available every time I had a question or concern. Shawn, Is an outstanding lawyer who is very personable and explains court proceedings in detail and provides you information concerning your case in an expedient manner. I was more impressed with him, when the judge stated that his paperwork is always meticulous. His knowledge of OMVI law is outstanding to where I received reduce charges instead of going to trial.

I had an excellent experience working with Shawn Dominy. I would not have wanted to try to navigate the legal system on my own, and he was the perfect person to walk me through the process. He is outstanding at what he does, very experienced and knowledgeable. He made me feel at ease throughout the entire process, helping me to make the necessary decisions, and offering insight that only a person with his experience and expertise could offer. Shawn did an excellent job representing me in my OVI case. Shawn and Windy were extremely informative and prompt in their communication. Ultimately I plead guilty because the penalties allowed me to miss the least amount of work. Shawn was able to get me "very permissive" driving privileges per the judge. Of note, Shawn was confident that we could have beat the case in a trial, but going that route would have resulted in more missed work and a longer automatic license suspension because I refused the breathalyzer test. I would highly recommend Shawn!!
