I submitted a claim, they called the next business day. And sent out paperwork the next. Very fast responsive! Hoping i can get help about breaking this lease for multiple reasoning. Im new in this city, first home here and hate it! But praying legal aid will help me. Update: They did not help. She actually gave me the wrong steps to take. Told me to pay my rent to the owners then go to the court to file escrow. The court said i needed to bring that rent to the court with me . Now id have to wait the following month when rent is due again which can take months for them to honer.. I was then homeless then the legal aide lady it's nothing they could do since its a civil matter now. I thought legal aid helps people definitely when i had 4 kids out with me.

I have been calling for over 2 weeks. I got a few call backs. First time I was on hold for 20 minutes and was told they would call back. They didn't. Second time I was told an attorney would call me. The attorney said he was a criminal attorney and couldn't take my case. I called Legal Aid and told them what the attorney said. I was told by them he was not a criminal attorney and they would have him call me back. He never did. Another call from them saying the attorney was not a criminal attorney and they don't have criminal attorneys. I was then told they will not take another application from me. This woman needs to be replaced.
