I never received notice of owing this debt and even when you check the court doc it states I was unable to deliver, how ever my wages were garnished which isn’t the issue. The courts can hold funds up to 14 days and anytime I called in to check the balance to get the updated payment corrected to capital one for my credit I was told they were waiting on the funds from the court. It had been atleast 30 days before the courts sent out the last of the received payments. Thank god my job sent the papers to stop the garnishment once it was paid on my end because if it were left up to Lyons Doughty & Veldhuis I’d still be getting garnished while way over paid. As fast as they garnished my wages would have been how fast I would have liked them to receive my payments from the courts. Long story short pay your debts

This company just denied an elderly couple in their 70s who are on fixed income the opportunity to payoff their $6k debt that is over 10 years old. They are now unable to refinance their home due to this outrageous company. Paul should be ashamed of how he treated this couple who are just trying to do the right thing.

This agency took over a Capital One account that I owed money on and filed a civil case against me. Once learning about the civil case I set up a payment plan with this agency making biweekly payments. Despite making on time payments for almost a year this agency continued to aggressively seek a judgement against me. I fulfilled the debt in order to keep from having a judgement against me and this agency refused to provide documentation to the courts that it was paid off until after the judgment was entered. I called asking them to fax the court proof that the debt was satisfied and they blatantly told me no they would not and that there was nothing else to discuss and they were terminating the call. I suggest dealing with the original agency that you owe the debt to or letting the courts handle any payment arrangements because this agency is straight trash.

Absolutely terrible excuses for human beings. Most debt collectors are but these people are especially cold.
Edit: I spoke to a woman there recently whom has given me hope this company has established better values. I am eternally grateful for her.

Throughout my case, Mr. Cheeks level of communication was what I needed and expected. He constantly updated me on the status and progress of my case and was able to follow through on all his promises.
From the moment I met with Mr. Cheeks I knew I was in good hands, he is very trustworthy and responsible.
I believe he is committed to getting the best possible results for his clients. He has a broad understanding of criminal law issues, and has sound judgement. He also cares about what happens to his clients, which is perhaps the most important thing to look for in a criminal lawyer when you are facing the loss of your freedom. Mr. Cheeks and his staff always treat me with respect and compassion!

This place is awful. Fulfilled my garnishment through them and they offer collected by $700 and I had to keep calling them and make them give me my money back. I caught them in several lies trying to blame the State and had to call out their lies then all the sudden they magically admit to having my money and would send it the next day. I think they would have kept my overpayment if I wasn't persistent. Almost had get a lawyer to get my money from a lawyer so they can't be that honest.

I've been paying on a small debt for 3 years and they are charging so much interest that I have barely been able to make a dent in it. The workers that I have dealt with have been very nice every time I've called though.
