My new car was rear-ended and totaled just a year after purchasing. Attorney Christopher Gant at Doucet & Associates helped me with the settlement—for both vehicle damage as well as bodily injury—after I received discouraging and unacceptable treatment from my own insurance company. Before seeking legal counsel I felt like I was being taken advantage of by the insurance companies and did not feel I had the knowledge nor the expertise to resolve the situation without getting into significant debt. The only lawyer that could help me out. In 2008 many mortgage companies went out of business and\or they did what was called “a bank walk away “. This means that banks did not want to file foreclosure proceedings on houses because of the expense. I was in a situation where I had rental properties that had lost their value. I spent several years trying to find out who held the mortgage on these properties so I can negotiate with them but had no luck. After talking to several lawyers who said they could help and they could not I finally was referred to Troy Doucet. He was the only lawyer that was able to find out who held the mortgages and help me negotiate with the banks. Troy did an amazing job for me when no one else could

I have been very pleased with the hard work done for me by this firm. Tim Cook has been very helpful keeping me posted as to how things are progressing. I have never needed an attorney for dealing with a mess caused by hiring an incompetent contractor, after dealing with hiring several contractors for over 30 years. Unfortunately the Attorney General's Office chose to turn their back on helping me. I have had to deal with a mess I never thought I would be in. Tim has on more than one occasion helped calm my concerns about matters. The best advice he gave me was to write down every detail about the mater as soon as I first talked with him. I believe he has done an excellent job getting things ready for review by the judge and trial, if it has to come to that.

I had such a great experience with this law firm. I had a tricky case with a previous landlord dispute which was resolved in my benefit and then my attorney Tim Cook went the extra mile and found another case within my case. He took it on pro-bono. I ended up winning another case and got a pretty pay out too! Tim was always available to call if I had questions or updates in regards to my cases. I highly recommend this law firm for any law advice and cases they are able to take on. 5 stars for sure!
