Attempted to retain this firm on a foreclosure defense case but was disappointed in their approach. Troy Doucet proposed a class action lawsuit to address the foreclosing lender's breach of contract issues but the video conference he arranged revealed that this case would likely take 1.5 to 3 years in litigation, and as lead plaintiff, the Defendant would possibly win $1K to $5K for their involvement, a mere pittance considering the property costs $5K in annual ownership expenses (real estate taxes, management expense, etc) and in the meantime the Defendant's credit is being ruined worse every month for non-payment of the mortgage loan. Alternatively, if the class action suit was not desired, his retainer fee per his contract, stipulating $1000/month to him regardless of any activity on the case, plus a lump sum in advance of $6000 if case goes to trial, could therefore cost the Defendant $42,000 in legal fees on a property having a market value of $25,000, with no assurance of winning the case. Very expensive attorney! Lots of questionable, faceless (possibly fake?) 5-star client reviews out there, and the former employee reviews on a well-known website indicate unusual turnover and management issues within the firm. Be sure to read his contract before you hire him. Not the credibility I was looking for.
