Actually, I was looking for chase to refinance my existing mortgage at the prevailing rate while not being in arears on my mortgage or jeopardizing my excellent credit score. Upon our initial consultation, he advised me that this was completely achievable. I should have balked when the amount of his retainer changed from the phone call I made to his office and once he had my financial information. I digress. After collecting his retainer I was chasing him After 3 months he advised me I would need to default on my mortgage, but in the long run it would save me money on interest and that he could potentially obtain a principal reduction. I was livid. I fired him on the spot. Oh, my retainer that evaporated.
