This person had appeared to offer me love and support, especially after my cousin abused me in a similar way months earlier. My mentor knew about that abuse and used it to manipulate me, pretending to be my refuge while exploiting my vulnerability for his own pleasure. At the time, my world had already crumbled. My parents divorced, leaving me homeless, sleeping in a cold, crammed car with my knees tucked to my chest. My mentor invited me into his home, and my mom, desperate for me to be happy, dropped me off in the middle of the night, hoping this could somehow be a fresh start. She had a crush on him, unaware I was being threatened in silence, and forced to pretend everything was fine. For years, I lived in fear, numbing myself and running from the truth. Mark was the first person who truly noticed my pain and stood by me, even when I didn’t have the strength to keep fighting. His presence gave me the courage to face what I had denied for so long. He helped me seek justice, not just legally but emotionally, and he gave me the strength to keep going when everything felt too heavy to bear. Mark’s compassion and respect for me, even in my darkest moments, have changed my life. He helped me write my victim impact statement, sitting with me through the most difficult emotions I’ve ever had to face. His belief in me gave me the courage to speak my truth and begin to heal. Though I still struggle and the weight of it all fluctuates, knowing there are people like Mark fighting alongside me makes it less heavy. I am forever grateful for his care, his advocacy, and his relentless pursuit of justice on my behalf. Mark showed me what it means to be loved and respected unconditionally, and I will never forget the role he played in my journey. Jamie is honestly a lifesaver. She is so sweet, caring and responsive to emails/calls. Her staff is amazing as well.

Having a Lawyer like Jamie is hard to find. Never once did we feel like just “another case” when I tell you she fights for her clients would truly be an understatement. She fought hard for what was best for our kids and was their voice in court. This was my first experience dealing with family court so I was always calling and emailing and if someone wasn’t in, they always helped and answered any questions I had. She’s truly a honest person.
