Scott, thank you for all you have done for my custody battle. You’re straight forward, you get to the point. You don’t tell people what they want to hear, you give them actually facts. Scott was always available to answer my questions and concerns. He put me at ease throughout the legal process. He has a thorough knowledge of the law and defended my case with determination. I could not have hoped for a better results. Scott thoroughly reviewed all the evidence in my case and prepared an exceptional strategy that ultimately led to my victory in court and getting custody of my kids. His preparation was remarkable. I highly recommend this law firm.

I would not recommend using this law office for a dissolution. I initially reached out to Sylkatis law office on 4/4/24 just to inquire and get rate for a dissolution and a better understanding of how it works. On 4/18/24 I decided to go with Scott and his team, I completed all necessary documents that were required in order to become a client and made the payment in full. I was told the next step was for Scott to look over everything and prepare the dissolution documents to file with local court. Fast forward to 6/5/24 I still have not heard anything about my case, I decided to email the office and i was told that Scott is very busy working on other cases and hopefully within a week or 2 he would start on mine. On 6/17/24 I finally get a call from Scott stating he will be emailing me the dissolution documents to look over and make sure no changes were needed, if everything looked good with documents email him back so we could set up a time to sign the documents. On 6/18/24 I read over the documents, there was a spelling error and a few changes needed. I emailed him back letting him know of the spelling error/changes. I immediately got an email back stating he’s out of office beginning 6/18-6/28. On 7/1 I reached out again to Scott letting him know of the spelling error and few other changes that needed to be made. Finally the dissolution was filed with local the court on 7/10/24. I never heard from Scott again until 8/27/24 letting me know he forgot to let my ex husband and I know our court day was set for 9/13/24 and we both needed to be present. I understand Scott is busy and is handling bigger cases but the lack of communication/urgency was uncalled for and this is not how a client should be treated.

Scott was very professional throughout my divorce despite dealing with my ex wife's incompetent 1st attorney. He walked me through the steps of divorce and was always quick to answer any questions that I had. I'm happy with the service that he provided.

Great communication, detailed and over all we felt very cared for during our custody proceedings. Thankful for Mr. Sylkatis and his staff.

Thank you to Ryan Fisher for his help in handling my case. He was very efficient and thorough. I also really appreciated his down to earth demeanor. I only wish that I would hired him sooner!

Mr. Sylkatis was the 1st page I came across when I googled "best lawyer in Lorain county". As a man it is difficult to win a child custody case against a mother. Well I can honestly say that Mr. Sylkatis mad this entire process very easy and stress free for me. He is a lawyer that will absolutely go above and beyond to ensure EVERYTHING is in play when the time comes. He is kind hearted and understanding but yet also ruthless when needs to be kind of person. He always kept me informed with everything!! Even if I needed to know it or not. At times I thought this guy could see the future lol. He is very trust worthy and stands by his word. Thank you again Mr. Sylkatis for helping me get my son home.
