I retained John in a custody case for my toddler. At the start of my case John was upfront and honest about expectations. At the onset I had no parental rights whatsoever. The other party was incapable of reasoning and fought over anything and everything. The opposing attorney was aggressive, said to be from the best law office in the county and very skilled at getting demands met. In fact, said attorney turned an expeditious hearing on medical concerns into a change in child support order. There was a Guardian Ad Litem and I had a spouse who became unstable. I had three major mistakes that the defense was easily able to use against in attempt to prove I was unfit. I more then likely asked John to do things against my own best interest which he advised against. The defendant had funds and time to waste in court. John was able to put together a shared parenting plan that the defense signed the day of the final hearing and so we avoided court when some attorneys may have gone to trial for the check. It took a very impressive amount of skill for John to reason with these people especially given the less then stellar circumstances which I had placed him in. I know that we achieved the best possible outcome under the circumstances. All of Johns proposals etc were very well written. If you want a fast shooting' smooth talking; mudslinging get you taken care of in five minutes lawyer then John is not for you. But if you have patience in the process and you want things done the right way here are the top 3 attorneys in ranking: 1 Abe lincoln 2 John Boyd 3 Ben matlock and he takes credit cards! John Boyd is worth the retainer.
