DON'T DO IT-they did not transfer title on a Friday as documents stated and the Howard Hanna agent gave the keys to the house to the buyers anyway without telling my agent!! THEY WERE IN IT AND I STILL OWNED THE HOUSE-PLUS I NO LONGER HAD HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE ON THE PROPERTY-OMG how could anything be more screwed up? What do these people do all day?

We sold our home in April 2014 and after 8 months and multiple unreturned phone calls, we have yet to receive back the funds held in escrow. We also discovered the check was originally mailed to our BUYER'S OLD address.

Whatever you do DO NOT USE This Service!...I have had nothing but trouble for 3 months since I bought my home because they screwed up my escrow and insurance. My payment has gone up a $100.00/month because of their lack of detail! their Title Agency Barristers is the main reason. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HOWARD HANNA MORTGAGE OR BARRISTERS TITLES BECAUSE THEY ARE INCOMPETENT!

If I could give zero stars I would. They made thousands of dollars of errors on the HUD and it was pointed out they tried to pass blame to anyone but themselves. They can't follow clear escrow instructions and will delay the receipt of your proceeds until you call and basically pry them from them. Poor customer service is an understatement, not to mention the condescending attitudes

The buyer signed closing documents Wednesday myself the seller signed closing documents 1 pm Thursday. At 4:30 pm Friday I get an email the wire transfer will be done the following Monday. I called to see why and I was told the balancing of the paper work was not finished yet. Unexceptionable business practice the selling of this particular house was a 45 day process which is standard what is not standard is to wait till title transfer to start the balancing of the account. I've dealt with several title company's in the past and this is shear laziness. This transaction could have been closed a week to two weeks early they stretched it out to the deadline and still didn't have it together. To make matters worse they lied about the transfer of title and the time dah it's public record. Do your self a favor and go else where. FYI all wire transfers go through the federal reserve which is open till 5 PM.
