Spent months getting a consult doing the documents. Finally called via 711 relay, they didn’t understand what that was. I’ve explained to them what it needs to be muted and how to communicate with me. The morning of my consultation I had a crisis and LPD tried to show up to take me away, so I couldn’t answer the call. I mentioned it to her and it was just too much for her and she said that she’s not gonna give me services anymore. she said this over the relay call and basically implied that this really college is too much for her and she’s gonna text me which she then said too bad Thanks

My experience with Paulette was extremely positive. I was impressed with her professional and understanding demeanor. She explained the process, handled all ensuing issues and was thoroughly prepared for the court appearance which was a fully favorable decision. I recommend her highly.

Having been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, my internal medicine doctor suggested I file for SSDI and recommended attorney Paulette Balin. She sat in on my free consultation and outlined the process. She explained it could be lengthy, and most people are denied in the first round. After filling out all of the paperwork and medical releases, the firm filed my application with Social Security, and periodically kept in touch with me. About five months later, I got a call that my application had been approved! I would definitely recommend Paulette Balin and her firm.

I hired this firm for my ssdi .I was so grateful for a lawyer to take my case at application stage. I was not able to do it on my own . They handled everything gather info and doctors documents all I had to do was let them know when I had been to the doctor so they could collect my papers .I just filled a few papers out . My lawyer seemed to be very informed of my case when we went to the hearing. They had gather around 1,000 documents to help me win my case. They talked about how the hearing would been handled so I had some idea of it. I had a very positive experience with this law firm and would recommend to others.

After being denied disability several times I felt as if no one believed I was even injured. I was at another doctor's appointment and I overheard a woman who had a similar story like my own. After she finished talking I expressed my current circumstance. She gave me Paulette Balin's office number. After a brief consultation my husband and I could see the energy and confidence this vibrant lawyer had. For the first time someone assured me that my injuries were valid and she was sure that she could not only help but win the case. After only a few months I received a letter from Social Security that my disability had been approved. I must have starred at this letter for days!!! I not only rejoiced and thanked God but also this wonderful lawyer who was simply a messenger sent by Him. My husband and I are eternally grateful for her giving me my life back!!! Paulette Balin is hospitable, energetic, confident and intelligent. I recommend her highly and her staff highly if you have any issues similar to mine.

I was referred to Ms. Balin by my dentist because I became disabled sometime in 2007. (Social Security had denied my cIaim.) I met with Ms. Balin and hired her right away. That was the best move I ever made. I have a very rare disease (Churg Strauss vasculitis), and obviously the powers that be never heard of it and had no code for it. Ms. Balin contacted my doctors, and the state required two different exams on me. Ms. Balin fought for me all the way, and she did finally get disability awarded to me. She and her office were wonderful to work with. I recommended her to several other people, and she took great care of them aslso.

When I first applied for disability i did it without an attorney and was denied. I was given the name of Paulette Balin from Signature Health and contacted her. She took my case and fought for me. She even took it to the Federal Courts because they kept denying me for things not involved in my case. It might have taken a few years to finally get my disability but she never gave up and won my case.

Lost a SSDI case for the second time. I was on my own for the first one, thought Balin Law would make a difference for me on my appeal for the second one. My Balin case worker never called me, only responded to me when I sent in pertinent info. I was never contacted on how to complete paperwork, how and what I needed to convey to them or my Dr.. Never given an indication on progress...nothing. I feel like nothing was really done on my behalf. So here I am, at home, unemployed, in constant pain and I have no help. If I can afford to try again, I will certainly not go to Balin Law. A lost lost 4-5 months.

This attorney knew next to nothing about my SSDI case and the health issues going into it, ultimately telling me I was a bad client because I couldn't hold up my head or speak up well during the hearing--both issues I had brought up with the case worker on multiple occasions leading up to the hearing. The case worker seemed more concerned with telling me how I should fake additional limitations, such as getting up to walk around the room for whatever reason (not possible for me at that time, so it was an absurd suggestion, and I told her as much), so maybe that's why Ms. Balin assumed what she did. At the hearing, her arguments were trite and ineffectual. I have since been able to try a medicine that wasn't available to me before, and with it I've been able to review the paperwork this attorney filed for the case--she killed it, and not in a good way, putting the stress on conditions I only tangentially have dealt with rather than the ones that have actually disabled me, so I can't even take it to the next level. And it's not even a matter of my not telling her everything--I called the case worker regularly with updates, though I couldn't always get through, and my messages weren't always returned. I know now that I should have tried to change attorneys, but I didn't know if it was possible to do so and was in no position or condition to do the research on it--I was that disabled. I'm still disabled, though better off than before for now, and I'm not getting any of the support I earned because of people like her--no, she's not the only one who has let me down, but I really needed her to be in my corner. I've just lost all that time--years of my life just gone, with nothing but medical debt to show for it. And I'm just hoping for a silver lining, that maybe my doctors will start taking my conditions a lot more seriously now that they know I don't get to have that safety net I'm supposed to have.
