They are all jokes for lawyers dont return calls don't help the people they are representing they just dont care they for the courts system they should be called public pretenders

Tried many times to get a hold of my public defender, and even left messages with a name and call back number multiple times and never once got a call back. Let alone the woman who answers the phone is very rude and talks to you as if your a child. Just spend the money on a real lawyer the people aren't even worth the 25$ application fee.

James C. Mathews is a Public Defender that works for the Lake County Public Defenders Office in Painesville, Ohio. He was appointed to me by the Common Pleas Court for my charge of DWI. He seems like he is a good person at heart but he is very forgetful, he doesn't return calls and he lags on filing motions.

Don't expect them to return your calls.
