Jay Lopez knew exactly who my ex husband was and yet let him run the shots, and cost me custody of my children to our abuser when I went to him for help. Now I am not saying he’s directly responsible but until he can show otherwise..my review stands. To top it off, I get an email this morning about a bill when I know I have filed for bankruptcy and they were included in the proceeding but didn’t show up for the review of creditors hearing. After going to Jay's office to speak with him and getting a clearer understanding I would first like to apologize for my earlier review. i was misinformed by people working for our government. I would like to thank Jay for fighting diligently and for helping me to get a better understanding of the system. I would like to apologize to the Lopez family for my earlier review. The system is broken but it is people like the Lopez family that will help make a change. I truly hope they can forgive me and In my opinion the Lopez family is the best in the firm. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all your help and understanding!

Pratt is an awful lawyer. He was 2 HOURS late to my 1st court appearance. The response says he never has been 2 hours late but that is a lie. My experience isnt a lie. To think id go out of my way to make that up is insane. Shows the lack of shame in his massive mistake. He charged me way too much then was patronizing and arrogant. On the final court date he sat there chumming it up with the prosecutor like they were good friends that expected to go boating together again. These folks are corrupted. I also wonder if the little meeting he had with the judge before court officially started was supposed to be transcribed and documented because it definitely didn't look they did. Odd how the actual court takes place before the ceremonial one. It's just a show.

Updated!! DO NOT HIRE Jay Lopez for your divorce!!!!! He is almost impossible to reach via email or call. I supplied all documents requested of me and the whole team seemed like they never received them. 🤦‍♀️ I missed an entire court date that they informed me of morning of. The whole time I was told that I had grounds to stand on. The next court date came and I was treated as if no documents or conversation had been exchanged. My ex husband left me with months of bills not paid and he just got away with it. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I paid out over 4k by the end and basically got bent over. Do not recommend! Got my divorce in April 2024 it’s not July 2024 no papers. I called the courthouse I was informed my papers were mailed out. I live in a town where you have a home address and a PO Box for mailing address. These idiots sent it to my home address. So I had to pay the court to even get my divorce decree! 😡 Woooowwwww!!!!!! Suck more please!

If the service is free- watch out. I was told only about 2 weeks prior to my case..more so week 1/2. I had no idea about how any of it works. Ms Sullivan wanted to "tell" me things and when it appeared confusing to me she wanted to bark that "she knows how to win these cases." Didn't ask much about evidence. Kept insisting she doesn't think we'd be on the same page in terms of moving forward on visitation I guess.... Then when i told her directly im lost on what shes suggesting the plan would be- her whole tone changed. ...said she will talk to someone to see if it'd be good to take the case i guess...and that she'd call back. Call was finished. Well she didnt actually call that person that moment but sent a text message under 10 minutes later saying she wouldn't be taking the case basically . Then lied saying I hung up and shared implications of me being "crazy" You'd think experienced laywers dealing with clients from DV cases would have a MORE sympathetic tone ensuring everything is explained and have knowledge the clients have stress from their matter. From that phone impression alone I'd NEVER suggest this laywer. Find flat rate laywers that know how to talk to folks.

Very good firm, I'd refer anyone who is in need of a good attorney. Andrew Pratt was a huge help. He's definitely a great guy to have on your side. He always answers phone calls, emails, or any questions that I had. I'll definitely be keeping him in my back pocket and use him for any other issues that I may have in the future....
