I first met Clay (& Leeann his legal assistant) in May 2016. They have been amazing to work with. Clay has been a lawyer who tells me worst case scenario and helps me realize what to expect realistically. He helped me through a rough patch and even got to know me as a person in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend this firm to anyone needing representation. When Clay didn't know something or wasn't sure he was calling people or looking it up. I'm very pleased with my experience.

Mr. Hillis was hired to represent my STILL not ex husband in our divorce proceedings. He filed the initial filing in March. Once I saw this filing on OSCN.net I reached out and immediately agreed to sign the papers and grant my ex whatever he was asking for just to be done with it all. Took them until May to get the papers to me and they still haven't been brought to the judge to sign and it is now June. They are slow moving and damn near nonresponsive in what really could and should have been an open and shut case.

Their record keeping is poor. Clay assured me that information filed during a divorce would be the same but it wasn’t. They never contact you to inform you of anything. Even in a divorce with abuse they take the easy way out and then say you’re “complaining” because you’d like copies of paperwork and information. I would never recommend Clay Hillis to anyone.
