I recently was faced with some troubling legal issues that hit me like a train from nowhere. I was shocked and new to the legal system; I had never even been on the receiving end of a ticket let alone locked up on false charges and facing a judge. I was frantic and looking for attorneys to help me. I was refereed Thomas Swafford from another attorney in town and gave him a call. He was quick to give me a call back and as I explained the situation to him, he was very helpful in explaining how the process will work from all perspectives. After some quick explanations to get me caught up to speed. I had more than enough information to decide what path I wanted to take in defense. Thomas did not try and pressure me or "fear tactic" me into getting an attorney immediately and wasting money. I explained I was going to look at some other options around town and get back to him, to which he was more than understanding about. The next day he had followed up with just to see where I was standing and if I was still needing counsel. Luckily enough for myself the charges were all being dropped by the state. And I wouldn't even need legal counsel. I explained this to Thomas, and he was just as excited as me! (Well not quite, I was over the moon.) But he did not care that he possibly lost out on a client or the retainer fee that comes with it. He was genuinely happy that I got the case taken care of without costing me much money. After explaining to him the events leading up to the dismissal of charges he was just as friendly and cordial as when I first called him. He was more than happy to answer some more legal questions I had regarding moving forward, and even offered to help with those services in the future. All in all, I had a great experience with Mr. Swafford and would 10/10 recommend his services to anyone looking for a quality attorney that is truly interested in getting to know and helping the defendant. Not just collecting a paycheck and getting out of court as soon as possible.
