“I regret having to share this review, but my experience with Joel was deeply disappointing. During our initial consultation, he seemed knowledgeable about family law, but that impression quickly changed once the process began. Joel demonstrated a lack of understanding of my needs and concerns. Despite my repeated requests to meet in person, he ignored them and conducted the majority of our communication (about 90%) through email. Unfortunately, his personal life appeared to interfere with his ability to focus on my case. I found myself doing much of the work I hired him to handle. My livelihood was nearly jeopardized due to errors in paperwork and inaccurate information. He also asked me to provide details he could have easily researched himself. Ultimately, I felt I had no choice but to terminate Joel as my attorney because I feared for my psychological safety. This experience left me questioning whether my case was being dragged out for financial gain or if the lack of effort stemmed from the fact that I had already paid in full. Either way, I did not feel like Joel was in my corner or had my best interests at heart. I strongly urge anyone considering working with Joel to do thorough research beforehand. Investing your life savings into a legal representative only to leave feeling frustrated, unsupported, and destitute is a devastating experience.”

Do not hire Joel A Porter. He is very lazy and will stop answering calls after you paid him. He lies to you about results and never completes his job. He does not have an secretary and very unorganized. I don't make reviews but I need to save the next person. If you need a lawyer call Jason Lowe, Kendra Coleman or Lateesha Hunter.

Joel Porter took case, worked hard to get a good deal from DA. Have used him before. He returned phone calls and met with him to get an outcome before we went to court. I would entrust him with my case again if needed.

Mr. Porter has always been very informative and professional and has always saw my case through. He is always making sure he goes above and beyond and will contact you during and after hours just to make sure he’s answered all questions and or concerns. He’s done a lot for my family especially for my case. All of the times I’ve been to court with Mr. Porter my cases have won . He’s been very supportive and patient with me.
