My husband and I put off doing our Trust for a long time. We are a blended family so we knew it was important to get things in order so it would be easier on our children. However, we thought it would be so difficult and time consuming so we just kept putting it off. When we did decide to bite the bullet, I researched via Google for a good trust attorney. I found Cortes Law Firm had great reviews so we made an appointment. All our fears and worries were quickly put to rest. Stephen was so kind and easy to work with. He walked us through a series of questions about our wants and needs for our trust and helped us make decisions about things we hadn't even thought of. I can't recommend Steve Cortes and the employees at Cortes Law Firm highly enough. Over the years my wife and I had talked about those "what if" questions that you don't want to think about. Because it's sad, right? You don't want to think about being without your husband or wife, or what would happen to your underage child if both his/her parents would die in a car accident... Horrible scenarios. But real. My wife and I had talked about respecting each other's wishes after death. But by having to truly think about it, talk about it, discussing it with family and putting it in writing with the help of Steve and his team, a certain calm came over us. We had some many "what if" questions and Steve was able to answer all of them. And his workflow is so easy. I spoke with him in person in his office. He handed me a questionnaire to fill out. There were several sections I didn't know how to answer, and Steve said not to worry and that he would explain everything before signing any documents. Steve wants you to be 100% comfortable with your decisions. I scanned the questionnaire to his office and a few weeks later we were invited to his office for any final questions and to sign the documents. They were presented in an organized and chapterized binder and we received a copy on a flash drive. It was a great experience and like I said, we're happy and can breath a sigh of relief knowing that Cortes Law helped us with our wishes and plans. I'd give 6 stars if Google would let me!
