Katherine and her team are knowledgeable and professional, but most of all they care about their clients. As a fellow attorney, I am always comfortable referring cases outside of my practice area to this firm. I know they will provide an honest assessment of the case, and work hard if they decide to take it.

These people know what they're doing. Ann has helped me obtain my green card in the most efficient manner. They are orgnized professional and experienced, personable and I stress the fact that they are proactive which has helped me be more prepared and confident about the interview. Will definitely pursue them in future cases and recommend them to friends and family.

UPDATED REVIEW: For the most part, I had a good experience with Mazaheri Law firm. Jillian Mershon Atty was my lawyer and I felt that she worked very hard for me and was fair throughout most of the process. I learned much about the inner legal construction of my case from her and she was able to negotiate a settlement that I felt was just “fair”. However, communication could have been clearer. When the case was settled and when I received my check, it was drastically lower than anticipated. I then realized that they did not consider my back pay but took from it. My husband and I were told on multiple occasions by Jillian that “our money was our money” and that the settlement money is taken AFTER that amount. She never told us what our NET amount was when asked 4 times. We understood the high taxes applied ( I always overpaid taxes to 35% in order to get a nice refund ), and she blamed it on taxes but I knew better. The back pay was not protected for me by the firm as foretold. I was told by Jillian that it would be and we could not resolve that. She said that she had no control of the matter- this disappointed me. I had the feeling that she did not have the power to make it right, though.... If you have a case with these people, make sure you protect your backpay up front with them or they will consider it ALL in the settlement cost and blame it on taxes. They take from 40-50%, so this is a BIG DEAL! Also make sure that you record your conversations and have a statement that reflects protection of your backpay UP FRONT in writing. I downrated 2 stars for this reason alone- to be clear, the money issue. I would STILL highly recommend Jillian so given the prior rating, total star rating is at 4. I was recommended to the Mazaheri law firm and Jillian was assigned to me based on her sub-specialization and area of expertise. She made a very strife- filled, unfair situation with my employer effortless as she guided me through identifying the obvious legal issues associated with my case. As a result, I learned a great deal from my case because of Jillian. Not only did Jillian help me throughout the entire process, her tenacity allowed me to acquire a fair settlement for which I will be eternally grateful to her for. I do not serve to slander anyone, especially Jillian, but I am being extremely true and honest only to repeat what was said and explained to us by her. The question regarding the breakdown of fees was asked by my husband several times and from her explanation we interpreted that the backpay (“your money is your money”) was protected. I will always try to express careful prudence in addressing what I experience as a client to share it with the public. I am a physician, not a lawyer and would not even begin to know how to manufacture this story in order to slander. I did sign the paperwork out of sheer fatigue, knowing that I would write this review. The learning point for me- to ensure to have the backpay protected before signing any such forms. Jillian, my husband and I had many exchanges and she is a very kind, decent, beautiful person. She guided, toiled and spiritually helped me through the whole difficult process, I could not have asked for someone better. You are lucky to have her. But, this is really only about the issue concerning the backpay and how it configures in your fees. That’s an issue to address and understand upfront. Obviously now, a conversation could be had to clarify.

I have shared my experience with this firm recently and believe since it was not positive it has been hidden. Like references for a prospective employer this company will only show you the good ones. Buyer beware.
