Jury Duty. It's so disgusting that the Coos County Courthouse has people sitting cheek to jowl and not requiring masks! Seriously. One maskless woman coughed her way through court today. Utterly insane. Coos is in the high Covid category currently. When I asked to be excused because my husband would DIE if he caught Covid, she told me I needed a doctor's note to be excused. What!?!? How do you get a doctors note for that? Why don't they care about Covid or seniors? My anxiety is off the charts worrying about bringing Covid home! 3 sleepless nights so far.....

So normally I would give a courthouse 3 stars tops, for the simple fact they always have way to much going on to ever be running smoothly. However if you go in person here all the departments do pretty well. Also the gentlemen who helps in the marriage department deserves so much clout!! He's super helpful, organized and so very kind. if you need help with anything I'd ask him for sure! They do need to update their directory and list the times that they are open in a more convenient spot to locate. They are open Monday- Friday 8am-5pm closed from 12:30pm -1:00pm for lunch and on Thursday closed from 12:30pm- 1:30pm for lunch. It took me atleast 10 minutes just to find where these times were listed and I'm not a 100% sure they are accurate. Definitely would recommend showing up in person if you need anything trying to get through on the phone is very hard.
