Ms. Clark may shock you. She is direct, blunt, and doesn't allow anyone to pull the wool over her eyes, regardless of whether you're the one paying her. If you cave under receiving honest feedback, choose another attorney. If you are willing to hear the full and honest truth, which will guide you in being fully aware of the strength of your case and YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES during the case....there is hardly a better attorney in town. Laurie is well known in the attorney network in town and is known for being VERY EFFECTIVE in the courtroom. This can help settlements to be reached before trial. Ms. Clark helped us gain protection of our son from his abusive ex-stepmother and also was very blunt about whether we wanted to settle regarding the additional time with our younger son, or have "an extra $3-6,000 for a family trip." Again, her bluntness can be off-putting, but it is her bluntness that guided us, obtained full protection of our older son, additional time with our younger son, and won our case. To note: I gave her a 4/5 regarding Responsive as at the time she did not communicate via email, which was fine, but more time consuming for us, not because she didn't respond to us.
