The lady I spoke to on the phone was really short with me once she found out how young I was, and that I was doing online college. She said, and I quote "if you can do school on a computer, you can work on a computer." I wanted to defend myself further but felt bad enough already. I do schoolwork on a barely working laptop laying in bed. Can't exactly work off of that thing, or laying in bed, as a matter of fact. I don't even care that they couldn't take my case because of it. That's fine, I found a different firm that happily accepted me and was kind enough to hear me out. The way she handled it and her attitude towards me was very hurtful. That alone is why I don't recommend this place. People with disabilities go through enough as it is. We don't need people who are supposed to help us make us feel bad too.

I'm greatly appreciative over the fact that this law firm helped me regain my life back, something that's been on my shoulders for almost 13 years now. Words can't describe the diligency and the effort brought by this team!! I will be forever in there grace.

The person who identify themselves as Tom, didn't even left me finish my 15 second explanation of the type of accident I had, before telling me that he does not do insurance litigation. When I tried to explain that I was looking to sue the faulty party and not the insurance company, he interrupted me again saying that they don't that either. Do what either? I hadn't even said what the problem was. If are so busy that you can listen to new clients for 1 minute, tell your receptionist to explain you are not taking new clients!

I would highly recommend the firm of Harris Velazquez Gibbens, P.C. Mainly my Attorney, Terisa Page. I was at a lost after becoming disabled after working for the majority of my life. I made contact with this firm and they connected me with Ms. Page. I was first impressed with the timely manner in which Ms. Page responded and set up our appointment. During our first telephone appointment she was so thorough in explaining the process of applying for Social Security Disability, which is not an easy one. She was very patient in answering the many questions that my family and I had. Her communication throughout this time was outstanding. As I received correspondence from Social Security and had questions, she continued to respond to my emails and telephone calls in an impressive time frame. I was unable to compete some of the follow up paperwork on my own. She had me come in to meet with her and assisted me. Again, her professionalism, knowledge and patience made me feel assured and confident that I had the best representation possible. Terisa Page Gault was absolutely amazing ..My son was on Child Disability and was denied Adult disability at redetermination.. Terisa just took this case and quickly had him approved. I had a felony expungement. I am not local to their office so everything was handled online. They walked me through the process and answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. They were courteous and respectful and they filed my court paperwork as soon as they got everything they needed. Their rate for expungement was reasonable and was the first reason I called them. I appreciate their service and I would use them again If I needed to.

My first experience with Social Security and an advocacy group didn't go so well. Missed emails, missed deadlines, not keeping in communication- all were setting me on a path to a breakdown.
