Randal assisted my family with a very complicated lawsuit revolving around a neighbor dispute/nuisance claim. Although I am a licensed attorney myself, I knew I was in over my head. Every lawyer I spoke to suggested I hire Randal, and they were correct. He was able to remove the emotion from our case and keep us focused on the facts. We had some difficult discovery issues that he carefully navigated. Finally, he guided us through multiple rounds of mediation and was able to secure a fair settlement for us. This was a long and stressful process, and I don't know how we could have done it without Randal and his firm at our back. I can't say enough about his skills. He is an excellent writer, he knows the law, and he is a great negotiator. You will not find a better lawyer in Portland. Thanks Randal!

Randal Acker is extraordinary in both his abilities as an attorney and as an individual. Mr. Acker has a professional and personal bed-side-manner. He goes beyond reciting the laws or technicalities and explores what is actually going on. That is, his solutions are often level-headed practical responses that avoid conflict, litigation, and unnecessary legal fees. I honestly believe Randy is out to find practical resolutions. This is not to suggest Randal is not a fighter -- he is! But Randal has a clear and courteous tone while being unshakably determined. There are those who throw their weight around -- By contrast, Randal is the sort that will communicate and behave in such a way as to inspire respect in both his clients and his opponents. When Mr. Acker has taken on a matter, he is committed. Once committed, he calmly and convincingly explains how his client's interests are justified and how he feels personally motivated to put all of his might and resources behind that cause. He is honest and straightforward, so when he is on the case, those around him understand he will not be deterred. I have also had occasion where Randy talked me out of pursuing a battle that would result in little more than a frustration and a large legal bill -- He knows how to pick his battles, and you can be sure, if he is ready and willing to fight, you should pray he is fighting for you and not against you. With all of his calmness, professionalism, and good nature, once Randal Acker begins to fight, his opponents will assuredly wish they been more reasonable before he turned up the heat. Randal does not bluff.

My company and I have used Randal's services at various times over the last 10 years. I met him by accident but consider myself extremely fortunate. He is extremely knowledgeable.
