I was like the many other people that wrote a review for Chris Roy. I have paid into my long term disability insurance on and off for over 18 years. I have always tried to keep working despite having 4 brain surgeries and 2 neck fusions in 6 years!! I really believed it would matter, that my hard work and determination would make a difference. I believed that if the day came that I could no longer work, I could be proud and unashamed knowing I had done everything I could to keep working. Instead the opposite was true!! Prudential has taken everything from me and I've been fighting them for 10 long horrible months!! Thank God for Chris Roy, Danielle Barber and the rest of his staff!!! My only regret is that I didn't hire them from the beginning!! We are still fighting for my benefits but I sleep so much better knowing they are in my corner! They work hard and care about their clients. They are extremely knowledgeable and give me confidence that we are eventually going to be ok! I saw in one gentleman's review about the Department of Buissness and Consumer Services, that they would not help. This has been true for me as well. It is very disappointing that these organizations do nothing to help the people being victimized by billionaire companies during the worst times of our lives!! I wish we could form some sort of petition with enough signatures that they could not ignore us anymore!!!

I sent a request on their web page, and no one ever followed up with me for a month. When I did contact them direct, they took my info and requested documentation. After a few emails, they never contacted me again. I left several email and phone messages. I have since missed my deadline for any legal action against UNUM. Extremely Unprofessional. Don't bother wasting your time.

After denial by my LTD and being treated less than a person Roy Law submitted my appeal. This forced the LTD company into hiring an IME. After the IME examination my claim was approved. Then the staff at Roy Law interfaced with the LTD to correct numerous accounting errors. His staff treated me with compassion and understanding during the process.

Called for a question, got a LOVELY receptionist, and a RUDE attorney. Treat everyone with respect, the receptionist knows.

Roy Law and his staff took on my case in knowing the state policies and regulations were stacked against people applying for disability retirement . I found Chris and his team after my employer's LTD insurer stopped payments on my claim involving complex neurologic disorder few people understand but is well documented. Chris and his team were patient with me through this very stressful period where I worried daily about my financial future (one my employer had guaranteed in their benefits package with a LTD policy). Many people don't understand the complexity of employer provided/paid LTD policies, ERSIA laws and how to appeal decisions made by the insurance company when they stop payments. This is Chris’ sole specialty. My employer's policy is to guarantee LTD benefits to my SSA retirement age (67). Knowing Chris and his team are with me "for the long run" for future reviews of my medical status by my LTD insurance company gives me peace of mind for my financial security. Chris Roy and Danielle Barber are AMAZING. After getting the run around on my disability claim I contacted Roy Law office and they stepped right in and got me approved in a couple weeks.
