Brett counseled me prior to and during all of my divorce proceedings. He was great at helping me understand what was vital versus minutiae when it came to finalizing the parenting plan and divorce decree. He was prepared and also had me prepared with all of my financial, business, and personal documents needed for the mediation. He had a great relationship with the mediator we used and knew how to deal with the personality types of my ex and her attorney. Brett has seen pretty much everything in the family law arena and has the humorous stories to prove it and help soothe you when the emotions start to get the worst of you. Brett is a great person and an awesome family law attorney. You will feel confident using Brett for any family law matter you have. I know I did.

David Is an amazing one of a kind lawyer!!! My fiancé was facing up to 10 yrs in prison for 16 counts - possible felony charges which included Theft in the 1st degree and several counts for Computer crime . David was able to allow our family to stay in TX throughout the case and commute for hearing dates. The offer from the DA was not hopeful offering 3 years in Washington co women's prison with no chance for early release. Everyone I spoke to pretty much would say she was going to have to serve time... long story short David and Carol worked so hard for an entire year and at the end of everything we won the case and she did not even serve 1 day in prison! I will never forget my first phone call to David desperate and scared for her!!! He stood by us until the end and I cannot say enough amazing things about him! He really cared and it showed... our family is forever grateful! If you are looking for a lawyer who wins it's David!!!!

One of the greatest attorneys I have ever met. He runs the court room when he is in action and respected by most prosecutors and judges in both Oregon and Washington. I would highly recommend David to anyone who needs help!

Worst attorney you can ever find.

I hired Brett to resolve a contract issue. He was extremely helpful and effective. I was able to get the issue resolved without litigation and to my COMPLETE satisfaction. I recommend Brett 100%!

I cannot say enough about how happy I was with Brett's professionalism and knowledge of family law. I've worked with Brett for many years, the most challenging time of my life was during my deployment to Afghanistan. I needed a voice of representation and Brett was there for me. He was very accommodating with communication barriers and helped establish not only Skype time with my son while I was in combat, but my ex had moved across state and Brett negotiated a parenting plan that worked great for me when I returned! Dear potential defendant, Ok where do I even begin? To say I owe this Trial Lawyer my life past, present and future would be the understatement of my life; which to state things lightly has consisted of more intentional mistakes than I care to admit...so I won't... ;-) Without David's intervention in a system plagued with hypocrisy and unfair practices, I'd likely still be buried under the Federal building or some God forsaken State Prison. This is one attorney that you can lay it all out for, in all it's splendor or ugliness, and he'll weed through the nonsense like a locust in a corn field! Don't get me wrong; he won't cross ethical boundaries (nor does any good attorney need to in order to still win), but if you want a real person that won't judge you, yet will still protect your interests, whether you're innocent or guilty as sin; this is your man. Period. I've seen David T McDonald turn the opposing side into helmet wearing, window licking simpletons just by knowing his trade and the law better than anyone else in the arena; and make no mistake, a courtroom IS an arena. Is he cheap? Nope, but like anyone who has ever paid for a real service knows; you get what you pay for, and after all, what is more valuable than one's time? Nothing, because you can't get it back; you can't buy it back or even steal it back. It's just gone. Besides, prison really sucks; trust me on that if you trust me on nothing else. This courtroom lawyer without a doubt can prevent your time and life from slipping into the black abyss of what is oddly referred to as the "Justice System". I hope this review aids in you deciding to arm yourself with a Tyrannosaurus Rex (I believe that's what the T in David's name stands for) chess piece who is unparalleled by any other across the board.
