My first impression of John Dooney during our first consultation for my wife’s unique adjustment of status case that he was very welcoming, knowledgeable and understanding, he walked us through the whole process in a caring and respectful manner and his fees were fair, so I hired him on the spot. John’s behavior was exceptional, he was highly professional, honest, with great conduct and integrity, and his communications (email/call) were in a timely manner .John well prepared and organized all of our paperwork for USCIS from submission to interview day as well as preparing my wife and I for the interview. The whole process went so smooth. It really was fun and a pleasure working with John Dooney. I most definitely RECOMMEND him for all of your Immigration needs!!

If you are a same sex couple as we are, who wish to move to the US, I have 2 pieces of advice; start the process early (18 months) and contact Mr. John Dooney III at Nelson Smith LLP. My partner is originally from the USA and has been able to sponsor my green card. However, that’s brings with it a whole bunch of form filling, checks and balances, interviews, online applications, waiting, and more waiting, to reach the final goal. The red tape is unreal. John’s service and professionalism was exceptional. He answered all of our questions in a timely manner, often the same day. He helped us understand all the nuances of our specific case, and even made himself available to attend our final immigration interview in Portland, OR. He was just great to deal with. All his support staff; Meghan, Lydia, Mari, Alejandra and Edwina were excellent also. We couldn’t have got here without them! Thank you John and everyone at Nelson Smith LLP… Nigel and Carl

We used John to handle my wife's adjustment of status to resident. The case was handed very efficient and timely . When there was an obstacle , John resolved it very professional and it was resolved.

Nicole helped my husband and I file for his permanent residence. She was fantastic I would reccomend her to anyone who needs help with immigration services! She was very personable and made sure to prepare us for everything making the process way easier we gave 2 kids and work full time so it was very helpful.
