My ex and I hired Jim on the recommendation of another mediator who was unable to work us. We met with Jim throughout much of 2015, working out a divorce agreement, maintenance support, and parenting plan that was amenable to both of us. He doesn't have a staff or other overhead that you end up paying for. If a collaborative approach is appealing to you, Jim is a great choice. There are a very limited number of qualified collaboratively trained attorneys in the Portland area.
