We reached out to Troy as a recommendation from another lawyer. Our situation has been dire with property management taking advantage of not just us but others as well. We did extensive research, and told Troy of our situation. He sounded confident in being able to help us. Well after we paid for the consultation he basically told us there is nothing we can do. We felt extremely misled from our first conversation of all the wrongdoing going on. He said he could help us and did not. We feel ripped off of $350 which we didn't really have to spend. The only reason we decided to do it was because the deposit we were going to fight for would have paid for that on top of the proper return that we deserve. I'm unsure how Oregon functions with such a broken tenant landlord system. From what I've learned is they can essentially get away with anything. We've been waiting for a response from Troy and haven't heard anything since Saturday. We feel very taken advantage of yet again in this state. Hope others don't waste their money like we did. We would get a refund from the useless information we were given but obviously that isn't an option. Taking money from a low income family, having confidence in our case and then dropping us is not a good look at all. Really could have used that money for a lawyer that we have now found that is confident in our case. Please don't lie for a consolation then tell us everything we already knew. We basically got a repeat of what legal aid told us. Seemed very unprofessional in our eyes, and lack of compassion. We are disturbed by the situation, hope this helps others.

Troy is an incredible lawyer, I recommend him to everyone wholeheartedly. I was dealing with a really horrific landlord that was utilizing intimidation tactics and attempting to steal my money. Troy did not back down and clearly had a thorough understanding of my legal rights. I ended up with a settlement larger than I expected because Troy uncovered an array of laws the landlord had broken that I wasn't aware of. He is very professional and responded to all of my inquiries in a timely manner. 10/10 without a doubt.

Troy far exceeded our expectations on being able to handle a stressful situation professionally and swiftly! He immediately started working on putting a case together against our past landlord for wrongfully withholding a security deposit/other deposits. One of the most helpful lawyers I've ever met. He clearly cares about his clients and genuinely wants to help in any way he can. Don't hesitate to contact him if you need help dealing with a difficult landlord. He is a great resource for legal advice. I was having trouble getting income verification for an application because I work in the CBD industry and I'm paid in cash. He helped me navigate the law, and despite the leasing companies attempts to reject me, we managed to get my application approved without any litigation! He will certainly be the first person I call if I need help in the future. Having him available makes me comfortable that my rights are protected, and I have someone to help if I need it. Troy Pickard helped me and my family out of a tough situation. He tried to help us out without charging us first. He pointed us in the right direction and gave us alot of good information. We definitely recommended him.

Despite their lawyers being far out of my price range they were very helpful in providing information and took time to give me some general advice relevant to my situation for no charge. It's always a nice surprise when people help out their fellow human without expecting anything in return. If I had a giant pile of money I would have gladly given it to them for their services.
