At the beginning of this year I was granted a divorce by default. In the divorce there was a question of paternity, hence the reason for a default judgment because my ex wife refused to respond or acknowledge that she received the documents. We tried to serve her several times at multiple addresses but to no avail. A few months later I received child support papers in the mail and realized why she didn't respond and that was because my divorce attorney did not specify the child was not mine. I panicked and went to child support enforcement and explained what was going on and was recommended to retain an attorney. I went to a few different consultations. Finally I consulted with Laura's legal team and it felt like someone was actually listening to me. Laura began working on my case immediately and was able to correct my former attorney's mistake and mistakes I made along the way. Laura took the time to properly represent me in the administrative hearing. The case was dismissed. Prior to this experience I didn't think an attorney like her existed. Laura was friendly and understanding, but more important she listened to my concerns. She was thorough and detailed when it came to handling all my paperwork with my modification. Laura help finalize my divorce. My ex and I have been arguing for over an year on the specifics of our divorce. Laura was able to work through our anger and come up with a plan that made us both happy. She resolved our differences in a couple of sessions. About six months after the divorce we were unable to sell the house and called upon Laura again. We went for another consultaction and we found a way to buy her out of the house. This made my ex wife very happy and myself now our divorce is complete.
