I understand now why Ryan Johnson was recommended to me, he proved to be invaluable to the entire process of the divorce. Ryan is very upfront, he informs you on what you need to hear for possible outcomes and really sets you up so you are prepared. He was always there when I needed him and answered every question and concern I had without leaving me wondering what was next. He took the time to explain everything and was always quick to help (I called and emailed a lot!). I can’t imagine going through this process with anyone else as Ryan really helped me see the big picture and separate my emotions out of the situation. I also love that Ryan was such an encourager, he always brought light to the situation and would tell me that I am doing a good job and that everything was going to be alright. He really helped ease my anxiety and nervousness during this process. Ryan gave me hope and he fought for me when I was in a place where I couldn’t. I would recommend Ryan again and again, he’s indispensable to the divorce process. At the very least I recommend getting a consult with Ryan, you’ll be happy that you did.

Asked Siri to find a family lawyer in Salem, OR and for once in her life she actually gave me good advice lol. All iPhone jokes aside here is my two part review. 1: Johnson and Taylor. 2: Alyssa 1: My initial call to Johnson and Taylor was 5 stars. The lady that answered the phone looked into my questions regarding availability to be seen that same day plus a few other things and called me back within 15 minutes. She scheduled my appointment for 3 hours later. Awesome!! 2: Alyssa was able to squeeze me in for a new client consult on the same day. I think I got lucky and called right time but anyway... When she called me into her office she was ready to go. She explained all the lawyer confidentiality stuff and got right down to business. She was so thorough and to the point (something I greatly appreciate) my initial consult only took 30 minutes and I had all the answers I needed. From there we replied via email a few times (she's quick to reply) and got things handled regarding my custody and child support concerns. At the time of this review it was just a consult but I did agree to hire her to update a parenting plan and custody order. I would highly recommend her to my friends and family.

He was upfront with his recommended strategy on how to handle my case and provided a well thought out plan incorporating aspects I had not thought about. Ryan followed through with his actions quickly and immediately reported the results. I was actually stunned at how fast he was able to wrap up my case successfully.

Ryan Johnson represented me in reopening my divorce and child support agreement against my ex, who is also an attorney. He was always prompt and respectful, his staff very helpful, and I believe he gave excellent advice on strategy. From the beginning, he was clear about what I was asking for and what was a reasonable expectation of outcome. He was dead right, too. Because of time and circumstances, it had become a very complex issue. I had long since moved from Salem to Portland, and my original attorney retired. The plaintiff dragged her feet and it appeared it would be a long, protracted court case, there had already been almost 10 pleadings and status conferences. The entire time, I felt comfortable with him representing me. Ryan pressed all the issues firmly, and through the court kept her feet to the fire, and ultimately convinced her to settle. Throughout, I thought he was fair and kind, and he even advised me when I was being unreasonable. To this day, my ex still complains what a persistent, tenacious opponent he was. When it was all finalized, the cost was less than what he had estimated to be the upper end, with a lot more court appearances than he had expected. Since then, I have consulted him multiple times for other legal issues, and have found his advice to be well thought and fair.
