2 stars. Im 23, in a debt hole and desperate for help. I never retained anyone from here but the experience was...strange. Today, I had an appointment for 8am on the dot. I was told the appointment was actually at 8:15, fine, no big deal, miscommunication? I did not mind! but 8am was confirmed twice last week. I called at 8 and 8:15, and ended up waiting till around 9am to get a call back. The receptionist kept cutting me off. I stayed kind, and only got slightly upset at having to wait past my scheduled time. I'm understanding with staff members, kindness goes a LONG way, but it felt like I was a bother to these staff members. Rex, the attorney I spoke too, wasn't very pleasant and made it sound like my questions were a bother to them as well? It was extremely strange. I'm not gunna hold it against them if that's just the way they speak! I had the calls on speaker and my husband and parents were also in the room conversating until they heard the attorney and receptionist respond, even they were "surprised"/bothered by the tone. In terms of professionalism, it was strange and not the best, definitely not attorneys I would like to work with. As soon as I was going to sign retaining paperwork, out of my situation and desperation, I THANKFULLY received a call from another attorney at a whole other office that I inquired with a few weeks ago. (So strange that I dodged a bullet at the same time as I was about to sign with Olsen Daines!). He immediately helped, was kind and listened. He confirmed that the attorney at Olsen Daines gave me strange info, and he confirmed it was untrue. My parents actually filed chapter 7 with Olsen Daines a while ago and confirmed certain info was not applied to them either and even said it was weird info they were giving me (I'm filing for Chap 7 too). All in all, TLDR: Seems fishy and had fees and requirements that another attorney, and other "customers" confirmed were not needed. Best of luck to the kind workers here, there are other attorneys out there who are cheaper and way more kind, punctual and understanding. Thank you for attempting to assist me, but there is work needed with this firm.
