I worked with Karen to create a trust. The whole process was efficient, easy to understand, and thorough. She and her team listened to my needs and we got it right the first time, without any need for significant changes. I also learned about (and implemented) some planning directives I wasn't previously familiar with, such as the Advance Directive for Dementia. Overall this was a great experience, even though it can involve some difficult choices.

Karen Dawson is excellent to work with. Her preplanning materials for our wills and trust were easy to fill out. We have put this off for years believing it was going to be super complex but she made it easy. She was also very patient through my endless questions and she asked us questions to clarify our thinking. Her final package was thorough and gave us a step-by-step of next actions. We could not have done this without her. We highly recommend her for wills and trusts.

Karen is wonderful to work with. She clearly explains the process and laws of estate planning in Oregon, especially since it is unfamiliar territory for us. She is thorough and offers council when we needed specific guidance, but never directly told us what decision we should make, especially in regards to end of life care and decisions. We hired her specifically for estate planning, writing our wills, and establishing trusts. It can be a very daunting task, since we have never had to face the reality of planning for the future after our deaths, but Karen's process is very smooth and reassuring. We enjoyed working with Karen's calming demeanor and vast knowledge of the law surrounding trusts and estate planning. We highly recommend her!

Karen helped us understand the purpose of a Trust (and found out some of our assumptions about Trusts were not correct). We also took care of our Wills and Advance Directives at the same time. We feel more confident our wishes will be carried out with the Trust created. It will also help our Successor Trustees maneuver the paperwork after we leave this fine world. Colleen, Karen's associate, is so delightful and helpful. Karen and Colleen both made us feel welcome and comfortable in their office.

I went to Karen for estate planning to create a will and trust. I was under a deadline of a surgery and wanted to make sure everything was up to date just in case. Karen was terrific about working on a tight deadline, gave me great advice about how to assign beneficiaries, graciously dealt with changes, and was perfectly pleasant through it all! I am much more informed than I was going in and have my estate binder ready. I also want to make a call out to her assistant Colleen. Great practice and people!

Karen thoughtfully and carefully led my wife and I through setting up a trust for our estate plan. She was very thorough and very thoughtful in her approach. Her approach led my wife and I to think of some things we had not considered when setting up this very important document. When working with her, one can tell she really cares about her clients and their well-being. Karen was referred to me by a close friend. I asked if I would like working with her and was told most definitely that I would. Karen made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I was there to review my trust and make changes to the document. We spent a good amount of time reviewing my old documents and giving me new information on the changes in trust documentation. I was sent home with several documents to review and fill out as well as questions regarding the items in my old trust. At our next meeting we reviewed what I had accomplished and she went over the items that I had filled out. My final meeting with Karen entailed my getting my new trust documents and a thumb drive with all the trust information on it. Everything was nicely filed in a binder and extremely easy to read. Should you be looking for an estate attorney I would definitely recommend Karen and her staff, they are incredible!
