Hiring Scott McKeel and Associates was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I have had a massive student loan debt hanging over me since dropping out of law school in 2001. My loans were initially $167,000 but with interest grew to over $250,000! Now that I'm in my 50's I have been wanting to buy my first home only to find out that it made no difference how good my credit or payment history was, I could not overcome the financial impact of my student loans. They were the only reason I could not get a mortgage. I hired Scott McKeel in August 2023. We were gonna give it a try to seek a discharge even though student loans typically are not discharged. Well, GUESS WHAT?? On February 22, 2024, Scott called me with the news and Judges Order discharging 100% of my student loan debt based on undue hardship. I am just over the moon excited! I am so impressed, amazed, and above all so thankful to Scott McKeel. If you are also questioning your student loan debt, call him. Times are changing, thank God. Sincerely, Sherry Ludwig

Update: I've called 2 more times and Mr McKeel continues to not answer the phone or call back and try to claim I'm lying. This is NOT a lawyer you want to hire. Find ANY other lawyer. Also it's funny he can comment on my reviews but not return a call or show up to a meeting. Funny. Mr. Mckeel drew up my father's will and refuses to work with anyone with the will. He did not word it properly or anything. And refuses to step up and fix what he did. He won't show up to meetings or return phone calls. If you are making a will for your family do NOT use this lawyer or your whole family will be screwed.

Update: he called a little after 8pm the Wednesday night after I was in bed sick. Said he spoke to the lawyer and claims there is no more confusion about the will. From what I understand through my fevers. I will be trying to contact the estate lawyer and will update these reviews once the will is finished. Update: he called after my recorded call I posted to tiktok. Sad that this is what I had to do to even get a reply from him. He is supposed to contact the estate lawyer and discuss exactly how the will is supposed to be done (since the claim is he didn't word it properly or well enough). We shall see if he keeps his word. If so I will update this review. If my reviews aren't enough proof of how unprofessional this man is.... I'm not sure what else to try to warn you with. This guy is bad news. Also my father passed away in August this is now January and I still can not get this guy to return a single call or anything. Very amusing he only replies to a bad Google review that will hurt his business. Update again: left another voice-mail and stated I will record my next call and post it to tiktok since he is lying about my attempts at calling.you can also see how absolutely ignorant he is, how unprofessional, and what a liar he is just to try to save his business from a bad review. This is NOT a lawyer you want to hire. Update: he informed me on the post to call him. I did. Surprise... it went straight to voice-mail and he hasn't returned the call and I won't hold my breath for a call back either. Mr McKeel are you going to step up and fix this mess you call a will that you wrote up???? If you are making a will or have any other legal issues I would advise you to find a better lawyer then Mr. McKeel. He doesn't do his job correctly or properly. And does NOT step up for his work he did.
