I've tried recently to get help but no one returned my call.

Twice now since October 8, 2021 I contacted NPLS for help with to separate cases. I lost my home to fire in October and needed advice on how to proceed. In this case I was living in a motel. The attorney was quite rude did not do her research properly did not listen to what I said to her. Choosing to say that she was not able to find any information about the owners, the motel, the address or they didn't have a website. Well she didn't look hard ENOUGH because my state representative was able to find everything. Second case the attorney was helping in my case because of my address change a call center employee from the department of human Services decided to send a new card for something that I did not ask for and my one benefit was Deactivated. Was I not happy. This attorney the one day I was so happy with because she listened carefully and I thought I was getting some of the help I needed. I was to get a call back after she consulted with the lead attorney. Next day when she calls me back and I explained to her I had spoken to my caseworker at the department of human Services and I wanted the person who took my change of address that one day and deaf my card and had no ri to do so because I did not request a new card...I want her disciplined because I am suffering without the card... She responds that NPLS CANNOT pursue this for me I must register a complaint with the assistance office. They only recover benefits. And then the interesting part... The downright DISRESPECTFUL part. I can't understand why NPLS only does what they do....because it's so UNFAIR TO THE LOW INCOME and I'm going to say this.... ESPECIALLY NOT REPRESENTING FOR EVICTIONS.... What good is NPLS if you are going to let the low income go to court and well...in my case my landlords their attorney and the judge were celebrating after court like it was 1999! Was waiting for PRINCE TO WALK IN! We were DEVASTATED and in tears. What behavior from landlords, an ATTORNEY and a JUDGE. HARASSMENT by my landlords during the eviction process. Invasion of PRIVACY. BREACH OF CONTRACT. DEFAMATION. and yes I appealed and I told you the story and what happened NPLS BECAUSE OF YOU AND SOMEONE WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS You didn't do your job. NEITHER did she. I could have gotten her for INEFFECTIVE ASSISTANCE OF COUNCIL

I went to this law firm for an eviction case and also a relocation case for my daughter, both times they lost my case. I was poorly represented and not prepared by my lawyer to enter the court room. I was evicted from my residence on my birthday and was planning on living on the streets, until I was pushed to submit an appeal. I represented myself on the appeal and won. For the relocation case the lawyer made the judge and everyone inside the court room annoyed. He had zero facts about me and never listened to a word I said. He did not prepare me to get on the stand. I was a mess and didn’t know what to say. My daughter was relocated to Florida md I am now being tortes by her father. THiS NON-PROFIT firm is the WORST and has zero sympathy for their incompetence:

Mellon Esq, was such a great relief for me. He nipped all of my issues in the bud as soon as I met with him. The first service he did pro Bono, didn’t charge me full price for any services there after. I was in a toxic situation, he handled the opposite party appropriately and managed the situation with compassion. All I needed was my signature and physical presence for an over the phone meeting. This guy knows how to deal with narcissistic and manipulative behavior. He listens well and gives you honest to the bone answers. If you go to him with a topic that he doesn’t deal with he will refer you to someone who does. All thanks to North Penn.
