I met attorney Gail E. Suhr over 10 years ago when I found myself needing legal guidance. Ms. Suhr was fantastic and made my case so much easier to handle! I was having problems with another attorney and she helped me tremendously!

My first impression was that she had cared about me and wanted to do what was needed. She and her team did what was needed for the first few months. However, throughout the process lack of communication occurred on her end. She quoted one rate for things at our consultation which turned out to not be accurate. She charged more than once for the same document. She never listened to me and fulfilled my needs after I told her not to do one thing. She promised me that I would be divorced in a year. That was 12-2018 and it is approaching three years as I am still stuck in the abusive relationship that I reached out to her to end. I sent numerous emails throughout the months where she and MacKenzie stopped doing anything related to my divorce. My last email was approximately one month ago. I kept telling both of them that it was still my intention to divorce but never received any communication back. Calling the office is a joke because you are told that the message will be relayed and just like emails they are ignored. I have done some research as a friend had recommended her and from what this friend told me there are others that feel that she did not meet their needs. Be forewarned that you will be overcharged and that she may not always have your best interest in mind.

I hired Ms. Suhr and her law office to help me with a complicated custody case. I was anxious and fearful entering into things and had no real way to know what to do. Ms. Suhr and her team came along side and worked for me in a tremendous way. I felt like they believed in me and my case. First they asked lots of questions to understand fully my unique situation, then they helped me understand what my options were. Everything her and her team have me for advice was exactly correct. Trust her! She knows what she is doing. This law office understands family law and custody situations and is willing to fight for the rights of a father. Finances are tight and they worked with me tremendously. Ms. Smith also did an incredible job for me. I am so thankful. If you are looking for a lawyer to trust with your custody case, this is the team you need. I don't know where I would have ended up without them. They were a God send in a very difficult time.

She will say all the right things to get your case and retainer and then do everything to get you to move attorneys because she feels you need a larger firm to represent you. She is a piece of garbage and gives lawyers a bad rep. Never never never never hire her, she is worthless!!!!!

Will tell you what you want to hear so you pay her non-refundable retainer fee. After that communication is very poor. No response to emails, and phone calls. Then responds with patronizing reassurances without addressing concerns which were shared by me through emails and calls. Gail and her team helped me adopt both of my step children. They worked with us over a period of nearly 3 years! They were always professional and were more than capable of handling all of our legal needs. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt! They helped us get both adoptions granted despite complicated circumstances in both cases!

The communication is terrible, everytime you call the office and speak with the assistant the phone magically hangs up on you. They tell you to email because it’s the fastest way of communication but it’s very rare that they answer the email in a timely manor or answer the questions you asked. She will drop you for absolutely anything, in my personal experience she dropped me for asking 2 questions. In this circumstance, I emailed her asking two questions because I was unsure how to fill out some paperwork and she emailed me back with a motion to drop me as a client. She claims that her reputation is very important to her, yet from the minute I retained her services she’s been nothing but a money hungry, uneducated, rude individual. Lastly, do not expect anything to be done right the first time, and expect them to charge you over and over again for the same thing that should have only had to do once. Do not hire Gail Suhr unless you like wasting your time and money.

I had a support order from Allegheny County for seventeen years. The order was to terminate in December 2018. As this date started to approach I contacted Allegheny County DRS on what I should do to prepare for this. They told me that I would be contacted via email and paper work would sent to me. Nothing of the sort was happening and this was a common theme with my past experiences with the DRS and Family Services. A week before the order was to end I received a message from Allegheny County that I had to file for a modification. I did as instructed. A few days later I had court order and I could do this over the phone due to each party lived outside the county. This raised my suspicions and I quickly Lawyer-ed up. I contacted Ms Suhr's office and had a meeting the next day. I brought all the information I had to her a told her about how I have been out right lied and deceived by the court for years. Ms Suhr was very patient and took the time for me to explain my Kafkaesque history with dealing with the DRS. She took on my case and quickly had a plan of action that made me very pleased. The day of the phone hearing came and it was a three ring circus from the start. The court official didn't have any of my information or an idea of what was going. The other party couldn't be reached. We got switched to several different people and in the end the termination became a continuation of the existing order. Before the phone was hung up Gail and her staff had a counter plan and put it in action before I left her office. Sixty days later we had to appear in court. This is when I realized I hired the right people. The associate of her's who spoke on behalf shot down every bit of BS that came our way . Her performance was almost Shakespearean compared to the weak preparation the court put forth. Even the judge had a small and sharp criticism of this sham. Not only did Ms Suhr's staff get the order terminated but also got me a refund of the last three payments returned to me. At that moment years of pain and anger left me. This ghost had been exorcised from my world. In short if Ms Suhr and company were the crew of the Titanic would that ship still be a float.
