Lack of consistent record-keeping and communication can lead to confusion and frustration
“I was essentially told to prepare my own document, made to feel stupid for not understanding a legal process I've never been through (the whole reason for hiring a lawyer) and ultimately both the lawyer and her assistant were difficult to get a hold of, provided conflicting information on the amount money due for services, and did not keep consistent records of the status of my case, resulting in frustrating confusion as to where things stood and eating up the retainer.”

Potential bias towards one gender in divorce cases
“Honest, but showed a clear bias toward women. For instance, I had some investments from before the marriage for which my ex-wife was entitled to half the increase (by law). I asked what if my investments had lost money, then would she have that decrease applied to any amount owed from, say, the house. Elissa replied with glee, 'Absolutely not!'”
