In the summer of 2012, I was told by my rheumatologist that it was time for me to consider going out of work on disability due to the severe pain and fatigue caused by my fibromyalgia. I tried to continue working, but by October 2012, it became too much, and I went out on my employer’s short-term disability. At the end of short-term disability, I transitioned to my employer’s long term disability and applied for Social Security Disability benefits. Like most people, my application for Social Security benefits was denied, and at the two-year mark, my employer’s disability plan terminated my benefits. Even though my doctor still declared me unable to work, I was faced with the potential of having no income. Luckily in my search for an attorney to represent my appeal, I found Marc Snyder of Rosen Moss Snyder & Bleefeld, and made an appointment right away. My condition is one that is not visually obvious. Marc understood my condition and how it can wreak havoc on my ability to work, and even perform tasks of daily living. Marc is well versed in how both private disability insurance and Social Security are in the habit of denying claims for those with legitimate disabilities as a means of reducing costs. He is also very experienced and successful in helping those with true disabilities to prevail and receive the benefits to which they are entitled. Thanks to Marc Snyder, I am receiving benefits and am able to continue to provide for my family. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t want anyone other than Marc Snyder representing me in a private appeal, or sitting beside me in a Social Security Disability hearing.
