Showed up 3 minutes before trial. Didn’t do anything for my case. Thousands of dollars and he didn’t say word. Needless to say we lost.

No show✅ Doesn’t listen✅ Argues with client on every level✅ Fails to represent during hearing✅ Had to be fired due to complete and utter disregard of any legal process, format or involvement of knowledge into my case ✅ Upon firing, returned my file to me, missing half my file, but to include 2 other clients personal and confidential records within my folder. Even after bringing it to his attention, was ignored. So I’m sure his other clients will be happy to know I have their bank records and social security information in my hands, which is being turned over to the board as well. Which leads me to to advise that I opened up a complaint with the disciplinary board against him with solid evidence of misconduct. So I stress, completely incompetent and should not be practicing law on any level. With him, it’s an enter at your own risk kind of situation.

I hired Matt for two closely related things for a flat rate. I did most the “leg work”, and begged him to file one appeal. During the appeal he didn’t even have facts straight and I did most the talking from my notes. When the second issue came to light he stated I would need to pay him more. I disagreed and he stated he would need to check my file and get back to me. Contact ceased with him, even though I called multiple times, until I emailed him demanding a refund for lack of services. He then stated he never asked for more money, but subsequently in a later email stated he quoted me another flat fee for services. This never happened. He basically called me a liar at every point in our communication. He has failed to provide services that I have paid for. He did not stand up for me the way that he said he would in our consultation. He allowed me to be walked all over. I am in the process of reporting him to the bar association for ethics violations. His wife also like to get involved with client relations and be ignorant and snarky.

Matthew was great in helping to resolve a traffic related issue that we had. I was very happy with his service. I highly recommend him.

During my divorce, I retained Mr. Parson and found him to be knowledgeable, trustworthy, and responsive. He made my life so much easier during a really difficult time!

This time I was facing a long sentence. Up to 10 years. Mr.Parson had represented me twice before on this same charge. Getting me probation on the Criminal Trespass felony. After I violated my probation got me out with no street time pulled. Now my 2nd violation was not going to be overlooked by the Judge. And again, I hired Matthew Parson. Knowing that Lawyers do not have a magic wand to wave. He visited me weekly in the jail to discuss my options with me. And also took all my calls personally when calling collect from VCP. I was so scared and worried about my fate. But to know I had an attorney in my corner was somewhat of a relief. The day of sentencing arrived. Mr.Parson talked to the DA and came up with something that was close to a miracle for what I was facing. I ended up getting a 2 year Drug and Alcohol Program with 2 years probation after. That program saved my life! And after I was done with the program I got a job doing Social Work. I did half of my probation and Attorney Parson petitioned the court to have the rest of my probation dropped. AND IT WAS!!! Having someone working on your side who knows all the ins and outs of the law is so reassuring when you are at your lowest. I would recommend Attorney Matthew Parson to anyone who needs legal help.
