Jeff Schott from this firm was recommended as an attorney for a Union case, and we were extremely pleased with him the entire process throughout the case. We had a previous lawyer who didn't care one bit about our business or us, the owners he was representing, so we changed lawyers, and we are so glad we did. It was very clear that Jeff Schott cares about his clients, from beginning to end. He was well versed in how to proceed with this case even though he had no previous knowledge of what the first lawyer had done so far. If we could give him a 10 out of 5, we would! I just called about an unemployment matter, that I am sadly way over the time limits for a real case, but luckily I don't owe any payments for. I talked with the lady in the office, she was very helpful, and got me a free consultation appt with Jeff the next day. Jeff talked with me for almost 40 min and we got the facts out, discussed options, and how in the end this would cost me and not the employer to move forward. TLDR: it's not worth it. He was great to converse with and is about what he can do, and the TRUTH. Wow, refreshing! I wish I would have found them and called a week after my termination! Hindsight is 20/20. If I EVER have ANY future legal matters that are in their wheelhouse, I'm going to call these guys. I really liked the demeanor and energy here!

I was calling to get help on my text book defamation law suit, and they tried explaining that it wasn't defamation and sided with the criminal.

Horrible experience here for an employment matter. The lawyer did not take thorough notes, which led to confusion later and then I was blamed twice for not being aware that his notes weren't correct. I felt like this is a predatory place that will nickel and dime you, even if you are here for an unemployment matter. They get paid either way, so the investment in my case was minimal. I would absolutely never do business with this firm again. Edited to reply to their reply: they didn't waive any fees, they took off fees that were duplicated on purpose! Charged me for multiple points of contact for nonessential information and the lawyer refused to listen to what I had to say. They fired me after I contested fees and now they want to renege on this as well. Figures! Edit #2: they took down their reply. It was reinforcing some of my points by stating that they "gave me a break" on the fees but "they may reconsider that" after I posted my experience. They basically admitted that they paid me off in the hopes that I wouldn't write a bad review. He also mocks my disabilities by stating that my emails were "extraneous, irrelevant stream-of-consciousness gibberish" when I was trying to provide the details of the situation. Do you want a lawyer like that? I wish I knew this before signging any papers. I probably have a scathing email in my inbox with a cease and desist! Their response, since they took it down: C. Ott: Please know that this firm will never represent you again. You were a horrible client. You have no idea how to practice law, what is relevant and what is irrelevant, or even what the law is or what it requires. You should spend less time lecturing your attorney and more time listening to your attorney. Your attorney has nearly 40 years of experience, graduated with honors from a top college, went to one of the top law schools in the world, and has litigated hundreds if not thousands of cases over the years. We would love to compare your notetaking abilities to his. Did you graduate from law school? How many cases have you tried? Your attorney was not confused. You were and are confused. Your attorney focused on what is relevant, not on extraneous, irrelevant stream-of-consciousness gibberish. We even gave you a break on our fees because of your situation. We may reconsider that decision in light of your post. Good luck and good riddance.
