I am highly disappointed with the services Donald Gordon and his law firm provided. The quality of deliverables was shockingly low, with numerous errors and an apparent lack of attention to detail. Throughout my case, I was often left in the dark due to their atrocious communication practices. Emails went unanswered, and there was a consistent failure to follow up for clarification on crucial details. This led to several frustrating and unnecessary delays in my case. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Donald Gordon as a reliable lawyer. Look elsewhere if you want thorough, responsive, and professional legal representation.

I was first assigned Donald Gordon for my financial claim case when I contacted Crisp and Associates. I called the office and was greeted by Donald who told me that I had to pay over $4000 in order to get services requested. Once I payed for the service he never contacted me again. I emailed him, which he did not reply. I called him, and he did not return my calls. After several weeks I called and got ahold of him, and when I did he answered “what?!” Very entitled and lazy man. He was also condescending. Luckily I was switched to Kathryn Freiburger. Kathryn was very helpful and spent as much time needed to explain anything about my case. Unfortunately she is leaving the law firm. I would not recommend Crisp and Associates based on my experience with Donald Gordon.

I'm writing this review to hopefully keep other vets from making the same mistake I did in choosing this firm. I retained the service of Crisp and Associates sometime in summer 2022. At that time I collaborated with my attorney, familiarized them with my situation, and constructed a plan that included obtaining documentation (OPMF along with other things). I was told at the time by my attorney that roughly a year should be enough to address this case. Fast forward to spring of this 2024, my attorney contacts me and notifies me that the office has finally received my OPMF and we're ready to move forward with the case. At this point, my attorney and I spend more time going over details and he tells me that with all the info and documents I've provided he will assist with drafting a statement and would get back to me the following week. Then, radio silence............. I got an email from the firm roughly a month later stating that my attorney was mo longer with the firm and that my case had been passed to a new attorney. The firm made no attempt to reach out or schedule an appointment with my new attoeney after this. Recently I contacted the firm in order to set up an appointment to speak with my new attorney. To my dismay I found that my new attorney has no idea what is going on in my case, and had not looked over any of the details I'd provided to my previous attorney. Upon talking to my new attorney I was informed that I'd need to write a personal statement myself with a template and that all my collaboration with my previous attoeney was for nothing. So here I am, two years later, back at square one. I cant help but feel that the rug was pulled out from under me in this instance. I'm $3500 poorer now and without any real legal representation to show for the considerable amount time and money invested over the last 2 years. Hopefully this post helps vets struggling in a similar situation not to make the same mistake I did.

Beware: This law firm is notorious for inaction and excuses. After paying, expect your case to languish and be shuffled between attorneys. Inquiring about progress will only yield a barrage of legal jargon meant to mask their lack of effort. Avoid this firm at all costs. Seek legal representation elsewhere. They will NOT refund your money due to their inaction.

Adam Leydig and George Strunk, were always up front honest and did not ever try to let you down! They were very up front and took no nonsense and were some of the most professional and hard working people I have met in my time in the military of 7 years. Their dedication to my case was very above and beyond a standard that could be outlines and I am grateful for their hard work and service to me.

Absolutely impressive service! They were upfront about the costs as well as the timeline. They managed to get my records corrected and got my discharge upgraded from general under honorable condition to a fully Honorable discharge. I am really happy and I can't recommend them enough!

I worked with Michael Richardson and he got my discharge upgraded from a other than honorable to a general under honorable conditions, something i have trying to get done for 20 years. I am very satisfied with Mr. Crisp and Mr Gordon's representation dealing with the ABCMR. I was kept up to date and had all my questions answered during the years long process and was granted everything we requested. Highly recommend if dealing with the military!
