Nasty divorce and custody issues, Theresa was NO help at all. She did not advocate for my children and me. She believed the lying counsel of my ex over me. Kept remaining retainer even though she did nothing to move my case along.

She is so amazing and caring. She doesn't over charge like some other attorneys. She sincerely cares about her clients and asks questions. She even gave me a ride once to her office from the court house. I finally got primary custody of my son after fighting for it for around 4 years. She doesn't sit silently in the courtroom when challenged like some novice attorneys. She fights hard and tough. Thank you, you're like family when it comes to law.

Theresa was able to secure my divorce in a seamless and efficient manner. It was an international divorce and my ex hoped to stall the process. Theresa prevailed and was undaunted. Thank you Theresa.

I'm not a person of many words, but Theresa was the lawyer I should of had from the start. She helped me get visitation and custody of my son. It was a long road and afterwards divorce. I would recommend her.

I have waited along time to write this review .. this morning I woke up and got my children out of bed fed them breakfast and we cuddled up and watched a movie .. I hired Theresa in 2016 with the odds stacked all the way against me for 15 years I thought I would never wake up to my kids .. I decided enough was enough I really thought we were gonna lose and she went in and took no prisoners and 1 1/2 years later not a day goes by that I’m not grateful she was the best decision I ever made .. love you Theresa ..

I retained Theresa six years ago to represent my daughter in a divorce action brought by her husband. She has worked tirelessly and fiercely on my daughter's behalf in every aspect of the process. From custody, to child support, alimony and especially in equitable distribution Theresa exhibited complete knowledge of the law. Using aspects of the law with which I was unfamiliar, she obtained a division of the assets in my daughter's favor that amazed me. Telephone calls and emails were promptly returned and issues fully explained before a decision was made on actions to be taken. I recommend her with great enthusiasm to anyone who is faced with a family legal problem.

Theresa Hartzell did a great job for my daughter regarding visitation, and for me with the divorce itself. Our situation was out of the ordinary, but she took the time to understand our particular concerns, offer helpful advice, and negotiate a fair settlement. She was calm when I was panicked, clear when I was confused, sympathetic when I was totally stressed out, and sober when I was outright flaky. She explained the process clearly and patiently, and handled matters expertly. Theresa also took pains not to let things drag out. I'm glad she was recommended to me.

Attorney Hartzell is a highly skilled custody attorney. Due to her knowledge of the law I was able to get custody of my children, which is not easy for a father. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking the services of a family law attorney.

Ms. Hartzell comes off initially as aggressive and will fight for you. However, that is just to cover up her inability to effectively prepare for a trial and have all the facts and information prior to filing. She was poorly prepared, and often her filings (done on my behalf) were shoddy and had inexcusable errors. Overall, I would not recommend her as she didn't prepare for a case correctly and made costly mistakes.

Theresa has been my Attorney for 3 years. She has done an amazing job for me. She is very detail oriented and truly cares about her clients. Being a single dad hasn't always been easy, but I'm glad Theresa is in my corner.

My experience with Hartzell Law and Theresa and Mara, has been a wonderful one. Divorce is never an easy thing to go through, and there are always many questions to ask and problems to discuss. ANYTIME I called the office (which was a lot at times), I was always treated with respect, understanding and kindness. My questions/issues were handled promptly, and my case was handled with experience and professionalism. They were 100% involved and concerned until everything was settled, and they still are.
